A live-action 'AKIRA' film adaptation is reportedly back in active development, with Guillermo del Toro attached to direct for Warner Bros. Production sources state the studio is aiming for an R-rated, multi-part epic using practical creature effects and real miniature set builds to recreate Neo-Tokyo.

I liked how the comic book story of Cyberpunk 2077: “Trauma Team” raises masterfully the ethical dilemmas and complemented the picture from the perspective of the “Trauma Team“ employee.
When you have Trauma Team Platinum Package 🚑 Here's a short but breathtaking CGI animation created by Wojciech Michalski, our Expert Character Artist. Enjoy!

Cyberpunk 2077 new update, Season 2 on Netflix. In the meantime, looking forward to these two, too 😁

Building Project Valhalla is like building a cathedral: craftsmanship, ingenuity, and collective dedication. A single “value” keyword carrying a decade of engineering. The first preview in JDK 28 as a milestone, with more work ahead. Kudos to the team! youtu.be/D_AmK8-UnZg

Project Babylon/HAT brings GPU acceleration to Java: LLM inference in Java, kernels approaching native performance. A major step toward a JVM that dynamically targets CPUs and GPUs efficiently without writing kernels in CUDA/OpenCL. youtu.be/0-1IGpVrFLQ

We’re releasing a broad range of new mathematical results produced by an internal frontier model. We’ve been consulting with the independent Advisory Group on Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence at the Institute for Advanced Study, and we have drawn on their advice and public recommendations to inform how we release these results. github.com/openai/math

JEP 544 is now Candidate! A major milestone for Project Leyden and the C2 JIT compiler, it speeds startup and warmup by moving compilation into a training run while preserving C2’s dynamic optimization and peak performance 🙂 openjdk.org/jeps/544

☕ How Java programs can reach close-to-native performance for matrix-multiply computations on hardware with accelerated MMA support, such as NVIDIA GPUs ☕ How the same Java Tensor API can be mapped across different parallel programming models and vendors while remaining portable for source code and runtime scheduling parameters This article examines both: social.ora.cl/6011BEbmLc

Oh wow, The New York Times just reported that OpenAI may have cracked one of mathematics’ Millennium Problems (Navier–Stokes). They also say the OpenAI paper comes with a Lean proof. nytimes.com/2026/09/08/scien… Repo: github.com/openai/NavierStok…

We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics. The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra. The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.

We need a Wikipedia page called “Proof Race”. It starts something like this: “The Proof Race is a 21st-century competition between AI labs to achieve supremacy in automated mathematical reasoning.” [citation needed, preferably machine-checked]
