Only 9% of all plastic waste ever made globally has been recycled.
If your bathroom sink is overflowing, you don’t reach for the mop to soak up the overflow, you turn off the tap.
This is what we need to do with plastics.

Hydrogen has been touted as a climate solution.
The truth is a bit more complicated.
There are many different colours of hydrogen. The colour tells us how it is produced and how clean or dirty it is. These are the four that matter: 🧵👇

Re-upping: This is all pretty much ONLY because we continue to burn oil, gas and coal (everywhere, not just Russia) and that's wrecking our habitat in slow motion, in front of our eyes
With our full knowledge
It's time citizens take climate action directly into their hands
Did you know that, also, this week, eastern Antarctica saw temperatures hover 40°C (70°F) above normal for 3 days?
HERE'S ME SHOUTING: These extreme anomalies were thought to be IMPOSSIBLE, until they occurred
They are unlike any ever observed

On average it takes 28 years to go from gas ‘discovery’ to production, according to Gov't figures. So a new field licensed today would give us gas circa 2050--right when we're meant to get to net zero. Meanwhile we’re locked into gas for decades longer than necessary.
