That’s how it’s been played forever. It has nothing to do with USC. It’s why for a long time the B1G didn’t win titles because the better teams are the only ones that play the up and down style of the SEC.

Side bar. I just don’t find BIG 10 football enjoyable or fun to watch. Yes, USC played horrendously. Yes, they deserve to lose. But having every team try to shorten the game on you and getting seven or eight possessions is just not a fun product.

I have no delusions about the quality of team but when Iowa generates that many TOs they call themselves a great defense. Be consistent at least either Iowa is ass all the time or the other teams just play poorly against them.

Here’s the problem, he doesn’t lay that egg they are 6-1 likely a top 20 team and looking at next week as a potential game that could put you in the playoff hunt. Now you are 5-2 and unless you win out the playoffs are out of the question.
