A cool start not helped by the disappearing 72 bus (yet again) so it looks like a Quaysde stroll rather then Exhib Park. The vagaries of the West Rnd Bus Routes. ‘They seek them here…….’ Early music choice was @bandofhorses

Out a bit later today - most unlike me. On the cool side but not too bad but at least it’s dry. Still sorting some finance stuff out for Anne. Hopefully, Nic ad I are nearly there with the various Banks/ Bldg Societies. Music today was The Blue Nile.

Canny morning after MJ produced BAD instead of THRILLER last night and then produced a post game talk full of ‘low block’ gems! Anyway I’m nipping into town to do a couple of jobs that will take my mind off it. Music - a Kane Gang and @dutchuncles mix. Will WHU chase MJ?

Well another Everton classic at SJP - another GK error cost us but after the bloke in front asked ‘what do they do in training all week’ I pointed out they play each other so that won’t be helpful. I see no plan, no idea on changes and a coach on borrowed time. Dreadful and wet

Anne always enjoyed trips to Twin Farms so naturally we took a family pic yesterday when we were there with Kev the photographer. A very pleasant lunchtime.

Still doing some sorting out of stuff that has been untouched for ages and in some old stubs I found this one. @dougofthecorner - hard to realise it’s 7 years ago.

Really nippy early doors but it seems to have improved since then. ‘Big coat’ weather for SJP? I never enjoy Everton games and I fear a red card if Joe loses his rag with their defence. Ridiculous how average we are yet could he in the top 8 in an even more average league!!

In that same MAG were articles by the likes of Chris Tait, Colin Whittle and Billy Furious, Biffa and Mark Jensen - when the MAG was THE magazine to read. The best and was most poignant was an article about Les Usher, a lovely man by Dave, his son

Miserable, drizzly, damp and cold so not an enjoyable stroll. My mood changed slightly when I found an old MAG from 2010 with my review of a defeat at WBA the day before I was 64. The worst ref I have ever seen and I’ve seen plenty!

I’m 6 foot tall, a bit of a ‘chunky’ individual yet the number of shoppers who bumped into me (literally) at the MetroCentre was amazing - very few seemed to understand the word ‘sorry’. It’s a good job I’m such a pleasant soul.

Out early, a bit ‘Vesta’ but looks canny for the rest of the day. I won’t let last night spoil it but will we ever have a better chance to get to a SF if we had performed well. Massive game Monday for the manager. NUFC forgotten now for a few hours!!!

My Grandad reckoned that if Gulliver had been a NUFC fan his Travels would often have been like a horror story. Yesterday was clearly a ‘Gulliver’ day but it’s becoming too common once we concede. Monday gets bigger with this result.

I’m always told to drink my black coffee much slower so I’ve resolved it by getting a newbBlaydon Races mug from Back Page - guaranteed to make me slow down! @OllyverTweet

Trip to town a success.@BacPageShop seeing @OllyverTweet and @ Chris Tait - always canny crack before picking up copies of @the_Crack and a stroll up Northd St. The usual ‘famous five’ lying around outside M and S before coffee at Hotel Chocolate!

Miserable by the time I went out but hopefully it will improve as I head to town as soon as I can afford the free fare (apres 9.30). Getting out regardless of the weather is apparently essential! So people tell me!!

If Artetavis a manager who ‘looks at things to the nth degree’ how did he not know Bruno wasn’t really a good pick for a 5th pen? His record here wasn’t spectacular.

Changeable weather early - strong wind, no sun to sun arriving and a lack of wind but at least it’s dry - so far. Back on Geordie Daxie duty later - not sure if me or the dogs will be most excited! Congrats to Kane but I’ll never forget that Lejeune tackle!!!

Today in Anne’s reckoning it would be a ‘big coat’ day - a slight drop down from ‘match coat’ - the sort that North Pole explorers would need. Cold, damp but with the 3 points warming me up. Music / the latest @michaelkiwanuka ‘Fudge’. Hi Willis!
