Space genius now spreading an extremely stupid conspiracy theory -mathematically impossible for Lula to have amassed 4 million votes in the 2 hour extension -Bolsonaro campaign also requested extension, Bolsonaro judge signed off on it -Literally what is the conspiracy theory

Scandinavians typically have no interest in moving to the US. In the rare circumstances that they do, they never look past Boston, SF, NYC and Washington DC. Once I tried to recruit a Danish student to my lab for a postdoc and he looked up Charlottesville on the map and said: “but that is almost 150 miles from Washington DC - it’s too much”. Let’s face the facts here - they also consider much of the US as a “shit house country” but you would never catch their politicians be so crass.
WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE President Trump escalated his invective against Norway, calling it a ‘shit house country’ and saying Norwegian immigrants are not welcome in the United States because the Nobel committee, based in the capital Oslo, has not awarded him a Peace Prize reut.rs/3U1joSt

AI is a transformative technology that will change our world, but the rate of change is exaggerated and overinvestment is inevitable. The bubble will pop as people grow cautious about AI investments, starting in the weakest sectors. One such sector is the AI-centric biotech. In that frenzied party, people with the least understanding of biology are drinking each other’s Kool-Aid. Ironically , the smartest ones in that party are the ones who are knowingly selling snake oil to the VCs, while risking the least, and they will exit before the bubble pops.

Odd that instead of condemning Putin, you cozied up to him.
May the bloodthirsty warmongers, who push for a war that never ends, burn in hell!

Musk forgot that his oligarchic influence has no significant relevance in India where the ruling party is overwhelmingly popular. Given Indian history with the EIC, they take political interference from a global corporation as an acute national security threat. There is now a good chance that India will also push out Tesla just to drive home the point.
India said NO to Starlink. Musk thought he could throw a public tantrum and bully India into handing him a telecom monopoly, but he completely miscalculated. Thanks to Trump’s reckless betrayal of global allies and cozying up to dictators, the world is waking up to a terrifying truth: you simply cannot trust America—or its arrogant billionaires—with your national security anymore. Fareed Zakaria: “Elon Musk picked the wrong moment to lecture Indians. Frustrated that Starlink had not been cleared to launch in that country, he accused the government of protecting Mukesh Ambani whose telecom network Jio will launch its own satellite service. Musk cast himself as the champion of ordinary Indians against one of the country's richest men. It backfired. India's government dismissed his accusation as baseless. An influential nationalist group close to the ruling party went further demanding that Starlink be kept out of India altogether citing national security. Media and online reactions were similarly hostile to Starlink. Musk did not understand that in India as in much of the world, trust in America is collapsing. Indians have watched as Donald Trump has discarded 25 years of bipartisan outreach to New Delhi in favor of cozying up to Pakistan and its de facto dictator Field Marshal Asim Munir. They have watched Trump essentially abandon Ukraine, where the military version of Starlink has been suspiciously restricted, thus crippling Ukraine's military response to Russian aggression. Would India define itself in another crisis with Pakistan? Would it want its armed forces to be utterly dependent on a US satellite system controlled by Trump?”

Fox News is putting Nicki Minaj up telling people to vote red. Let’s break that down. Can Nicki Minaj vote? No. She’s not a U.S. citizen. Can Nicki Minaj’s husband vote? No, he’s a registered sex offender. Can Nicki Minaj’s brother vote? No, he’s serving 25 years to life for child sexual assault. She seems like the perfect spokesperson for MAGA republicans.

I am anticipating a 20% drop in $SPCX and $TSLA if Dems take the house and the senate. And it won’t be a good time to buy either.
Elon Musk is not actually prepared for what's going to happen if Democrats win one or both chambers of Congress after he's spent the last few years as an overtly Republican megadonor with a lot of self-dealing contracts in D.C. He's never had to deal with a majority party that's outright hostile to him and his businesses. Remember what a massive crashout he had just because Biden didn't invite Tesla to an electric vehicle summit one time. Now imagine how he's going to react when there are House committees spending massive amounts of time and energy investigating his companies for public corruption.

UF is an excellent poaching ground for STEM talent right now. Many faculty and staff scientists are itching to leave and sending out pings to their network.
Get rid of these programs that bring in foreign workers at the expense of young Americans. We stopped H-1Bs at our universities in Florida and other states should follow suit.

How accurate was Carl Sagan’s 1995 prediction about America? “I have a foreboding of an America in my children’s or grandchildren’s time — when the United States is a service and information economy; when nearly all the key manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what’s true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness.”

Indians who joined the conservative movement because they thought it cared about limited government and merit have been sorely disappointed lately. I interviewed Avik Roy about this. Some great insights here into chud psychology and conservative politics. richardhanania.com/p/waking-…

"We desperately need a billion Americans to compete with China over the next 30 years, but not through immigration" isn't something you can say as a serious person sorry. Either say it's not critical after all, or discuss options that are mathematically possible.
Replying to @NeilMunroDC @VP
Hey Neil, much of what you are saying is simply not true. I never argued in favor of mass-migration to beat China, nor do I want to bring in billions of people to drive down American wages. My entire point about needing a minimum of a billion Americans was about having kids.

So many people seem to think the midterms will be a blowout for the Democrats but I suspect they underestimate how much rural Republican farmers who are about to lose everything they have because of Trump want to hear him talk about his gay fantasies on stage every night
