Jason Arday has been cleared of plagiarism FOR A FOURTH TIME
For weeks, some racist Western media outlets published story after story against Professor Jason Arday, at times every few hours, branding him a plagiarist. They hounded him relentlessly, and the pressure became too much for him. He committed suicide in August, aged just 41. This week, he was cleared of plagiarism yet again. A fresh investigation by the academic publisher Taylor & Francis found nothing to support the allegations. Of the four formal investigations into his work, not one substantiated the charge. The same publications that hunted him are now silent. They have not corrected their reporting, and they have not had the decency to admit they were wrong. This is how hard it is to be Black in a deeply racist world, and to succeed where they expect you to fail. Even those who present themselves as the moral conscience of the Western world have nothing to say. In a shameful act, the Oxford Reform Society has invited Nathan Cofnas, the self-described "race realist" who first raised the plagiarism allegations against Professor Arday, to speak at Oriel College next month. Oriel College, the home of Cecil John Rhodes’ statue. These institutions are racist. Sadly, Black leaders have failed to build rival institutions that give Black people respect and intellectual dignity. We are forced to endure disrespect because our leadership has failed us completely. Black billionaires line up to hand money to these institutions in exchange for meaningless honorary titles, instead of building our own. May Professor Arday's soul rest in peace. You were hounded to your death by publications that today do not even have the shame to admit they were wrong.

I still remember Birgit tweeting fr a hospital bed in a hallway during this harrowing ordeal 💔 Black healthcare, especially pre/postnatal is at risk due to constant anti-blackness from healthcare providers. It's never addressed as the criminal negligence & hate crime that it is.

This happened to my mom a couple years ago. Her tongue was so swollen that she nearly couldn't breathe. They know Black folks aren't supposed to take this but prescribe it anyway - the ER doc knew what caused it right away because she had seen other cases
Dear Black people, tell your friends to tell their friends.

Joyce Echaquan, an Indigenous woman was neglected to death in a hospital because of racism in 2020 in Quebec. Racism doesn't need lynchings or gas chambers to kill. It just needs to be coming from a nurse or a doctor with a refusal to act.
A Black mother with a stroller was reportedly subjected to racist abuse on the TTC by a woman wearing Sunnybrook-branded clothing. Sunnybrook says it's investigating her identity and affiliation. As a health care professional, I have questions. Racism doesn't disappear at hospital doors. Black patients deserve dignity, safety and respect. Video credit: 6ixBuzz TV

We have a huge problem when the people who care for us have nobody caring for their wellbeing. It’s time to stop underfunding healthcare and start treating nurses and other healthcare workers with the care and respect they deserve. #OnPoli #OnHealth
Have you seen this alarming report on the mental health of young nurses? When nurses are experiencing suicidal thoughts, we must look beyond individual “resilience” and confront the conditions in which they work. Heavy workloads, chronic understaffing and burnout have real consequences. Supporting nurses means creating safer, healthier workplaces for them and for their patients.

Nurses tell me they are constantly “working short” and can’t fully meet the needs of their patients. This takes a toll. It is time for a nurse-to-patient ratio law in Ontario’s health care system. QP debate coming this November 🙌 @NickelBelt #onpoli francegelinas.ca/nursing-rat… 💯

TEN years in nursing, and what a journey it has been. From general nursing to critical care, ER, education, advocacy, leadership, keynote speaking, research and beyond. Nursing has opened doors I never imagined. Still learning. Still growing. Still a nurse at heart. And I’m just getting started. #Nursing

The world map you've known all your life is wrong! Nearly every country at the UN voted to adopt a new map that shows a more accurate size of Africa after ~500 years of "symbolic minimization." Only the US voted against it. I explained why this is important on CNN

His NAME is Jason Arday. Far more than reflection is needed but the ghouls responsible won’t be doing any of it. The questions about Arday’s “credibility”didn’t unleash a tirade of racism. That tirade is ever present as an inherent feature of English academia and media.
