On behalf of @bitfins as the founder, if anybody ever has an issue as a holder or wants to stay posted on what we are doing, I’m always a DM away.
I give as much info publicly as I can on development and setbacks whenever possible but I realize not everyone is 100% tapped in on all platforms.
I’ll never shut somebody out for genuinely wanting to ask some questions or get a quick update on things they’re confused on. 🤝🏻
Important FINS stake pool update:
Due to the costs incurred by the stake pool, we will be retiring it at least for now at the end of this epoch.
We may revisit opening the pool or partnering with one later in the future but for now this is what we feel is the right decision for both us and supporters.
We have a list of active stakers in the discord and if for some reason you are not displayed on this list and had delegated for at least a couple epochs in the past then please reach out and you will get added to the list. Anybody who was staked for an extended period will be eligible for the original Membership Pass items we discussed when we opened the pool and you will be eligible for free minting for NFTs during our koi and goldfish drop coming within the next month based on how much active stake you delegated over the lifetime of the pool AND by how many BitFins assets you held in your wallets staked to FINS.
We will be getting more info out in the next couple weeks on how we will be managing those membership passes alongside the benefits of owning those, and also releasing the weighted tiers for free mints for the next drop for stakers.
Thank you to everyone for the support, we felt this was the best decision to close the pool both for us as a brand to not waste thousands on running the pool until we have an excess amount of money to manage the server and hardware costs as well as for you as our community so you aren't missing out on rewards for any more epochs due to us not gaining blocks in so long. Please begin moving your wallets to stake to another pool by the end of this epoch so you dont miss out on more rewards (ends in less than 2 days.)
This by no means affects the projects longevity, we only originally made the stake pool to offer a way for people to earn on their NFTs through an in-ecosystem non-custodial option, which we will revise with planning for future rewarding systems.
