Time to run the family like a business organization with a mission statement and business plan (family plan).
Unfortunately, we can't fire our children though for poor performance 🙃
See our family plan and credo. What might yours look like? What is your rallying cry?
49 days seems really short to complete this Austin to North Eastern US RV trip and back. Gotta make it to Acadia! Cut out cities? Longer hours on drive days? Extend the trip? #roadTrip #airstream
You can do anything, but you can’t do everything.

In @DanLinesLB and @Bithai’s #DOES22 talk, we learned that breaking down a pull request problem came down to three things:
Awareness
Context
Automation

What many sw engineers don't realize:
The majority of jobs do not hire you to write the highest quality code or produce the cleanest architecture.
They hire you to solve their business problems very efficiently. Sometimes this means high-quality code. Sometimes not at all.
Excited to join @DevInterrupted & @LinearB_Inc for #INTERACTDI April 7th! I'll be joining ⬇️

Love the new space to "come together and collaborate." FloSports is moving on up, with a 40,000-square-foot HQ planned across multiple floors of a downtown tower.

Recently did a self assessment on our Engineering Culture at FloSports based on the Pragmatic Engineer's 2020 test by @GergelyOrosz. Super quick to go through for Software Engineers or Engineering Managers. No need to write an elaborate post ;)

What do places have in common where developers *like* to work, thrive, and rarely think of leaving or switching?
After talking with dozens of developers, and reflecting on my experience, here is what I found.

Mighty is the killer app I need now as a person who gets shit done with 31+ opened tabs on daily basis :) Make chrome faster from the founder of MixPanel. Looks like superhuman but for chrome browser. mightyapp.com/

1/ Let's talk about fundraising: In 2009, Y Combinator only gave us $15K, half our YC batch died after demo day, 11 firms told us no, 2 firms wanted to find us a CEO, 1 VC told me, point blank, we would fail, we were a week away from death but luckily raised $500K @ 2M pre.

Biographies of famous people often mention how they worked at night and on weekends, as if this were painful for them. But if you like what you do, nights and weekends are the best time to work. That's when you get those wonderful big blocks of time without interruptions.
