It's that simple really.

Most people still see StonkBrokers as “just another PFP collection.” They’re looking at the pixel art and completely missing the infrastructure. This is not a JPEG with vibes. This is a full DeFi flywheel on Robinhood Chain that turns NFT ownership into a claim on protocol revenue paid in real tokenized stocks. Here’s the deep dive on everything that matters — and why it’s worth paying attention right now. A thread...

After years of repeated CEX hacks, I still don’t understand how outgoing transfers of this size can happen without independent human review and signing. Where are the circuit breakers? Why aren’t unusually large withdrawals automatically delayed, queued for review and subject to additional approval, especially when funds are moving to a new address? Withdrawing $5,000 from a bank can involve questions and a manager’s approval. Yet somehow, $100 million++++ can flow out of an exchange to an unfamiliar address in seconds. Make it make sense. Please.
Binance's initial investigation suggests that the security incident may involve a compromised DevOps engineer’s laptop, which allowed an attacker to gain access to a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions. We have found no evidence of any wallet private key leak. We will share a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and the facts are fully verified. The estimated total impact sits at around $6.3B. We have worked with blockchain partners to freeze affected assets, with ~$3 billion frozen on-chain so far. Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and the company’s funds. User funds are safe. We will also publish an updated Proof of Reserves once the remediation is complete. As an immediate precaution, Binance has: - temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals while security checks are completed; - revoked the affected address authorisation; - engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds. Our teams are working around the clock to resolve this issue safely and thoroughly. We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to confirm the identity of these criminals and bring them to justice. Please rely only on official Binance channels for updates. Please feel free to contact Binance Customer Support if you have any further questions. binance.com/en/support/annou…

Binance will be "hacked"... 2026 or 2027. There is no bottom in the market until Binance is hacked. It's part of the script.

Can't clock in this month. With Ledger, Foundation, Binance, it's simply Cock In.

Not even going live, is pretty much the industry standard now. What a dissapointment.
We are aware of reports of a potential security issue and we are actively investigating. Our security teams are reviewing all relevant information with urgency, and we will provide updates through official Binance channels as soon as we have verified information. Users should remain cautious of scams and should not trust unofficial links, messages, or requests for account information. User Funds SAFU.

Binance hacked? Octover? Hard to believe Binance got hacked though. Are they really not jumping in a livestream like Bybit and Bitget did so graciously? Let's wait for the full story. I think crypto twitter is just repeating each other again.

1/15 Last night an email landed in my inbox from [email protected]. That is the real address of Foundation, the company behind the Passport Bitcoin hardware wallet. Subject: "Your Passport funds are at risk." It had my name. My phone number. An old address of mine. It passed every security check my inbox runs. It was phishing: a fake message built to trick you into handing over something valuable. And here is the twist. Someone in our community got the exact same email, and has never owned a Foundation device. Everyone in the comments is blaming Foundation for leaking its customer list. The real story is probably bigger than that. 🧵

14/15 The rules that stop this attack 100% of the time: 1) Your seed words never go into a website, app, form, email or chat. Ever. They live on your device and your offline backup. Nowhere else. 2) No real company will ever ask for your seed, PIN or passphrase. Foundation says this in its own docs. 3) Urgency is a red flag. "Funds are being taken right now" is pressure, not support. 4) Never act on a link in a security email. Type the official website yourself, or check the company's official X account. 5) A real sender address is no longer proof. This email passed SPF, DKIM and DMARC and was still fake. 6) Buy hardware wallets with a separate email address, and ship them to a pickup point or business address instead of your home.

15/15 My take. Self-custody is still the right move. The hardware did exactly what it is built to do: the keys never left the device. The weak spot is everything around it. Every web shop, shipping partner, payment partner, newsletter tool and support inbox that ever stored your name, your address and the fact that you own Bitcoin. And every leak keeps working for years, even through a completely different company. Credit where it's due: Foundation cut off the attackers within 10 minutes of the first reports, warned publicly within the hour, and the CEO apologized. Now the report has to show which data came from them and which came from elsewhere. I'll post an update when it drops. Your seed is your Bitcoin. Nobody needs it but you. Bookmark this and send it to anyone you know with a hardware wallet. Follow @bitkoning for more.
