Important PHP Security Update: What Cloud and On-Premise Bitrix24 Users Need to Know
The vulnerabilities were found not in the Bitrix24 code, but in an external component — PHP. This is a server-side technology used by many websites and services, including Bitrix24.
The PHP developers have reported two critical vulnerabilities. The fixes are scheduled for release today, October 21.
☁️ Cloud: No action is needed. Our team maintains the servers and will take the necessary steps to protect your data. Some features, especially file uploads, may be temporarily disabled while fixes are installed and security checks are completed. They’ll be restored once safe operation is verified.
🖥 On-premise: Contact your system administrator, servicing partner, or hosting provider. Ask them to check your PHP version, install the fixes as soon as they’re released, and verify that your account works properly afterward.
PHP is updated at the server level, separately from Bitrix24 itself.
Security of your data comes first.
A team chat alert is only useful if someone knows what to do with it.
For every automated alert, make 3 things clear:
• What happened?
• What action is needed?
• Who owns the response?
If it needs follow-up, give it an owner and a deadline. Don't leave the work buried in chat.

A useful rule: send urgent issues to chat, recurring updates in a digest, follow-up work to a task, and routine system events to logs.

Approval workflows establish who can make a decision and what happens after it.
With Bitrix24, internal workflows can route requests through the required approval steps. ➡️ That gives employees a clearer way to submit requests and helps everyone understand who needs to act.
But approval doesn't mean the work is finished. Someone still needs to carry it out, and the next step shouldn't depend on a colleague remembering to send a message. ⤵️
That's where automation rules come in.
In Bitrix24, a CRM deal reaching a defined stage can trigger the next action, such as creating a task, assigning a responsible person, or sending a notification.
Before automating a process, make sure three things are clear:
▪️What triggers the action?
▪️What should happen next?
▪️Who is responsible for the work?
Get those details right, and automation can take care of routine steps without someone having to start each one manually.

When teams need to coordinate work and manage customer relationships, having the right tools in one place can make a real difference:
🔸 Team collaboration helps keep work discussions and shared information accessible to the people who need them.
🔸 CRM software keeps customer details and interactions organized for easier follow-up.
🔸 Sales analytics helps track sales activity and identify where deals may need attention.

Planning an event means one deadline can depend on five others.
The speaker needs to confirm before the agenda is final. The agenda needs approval before it goes to print. And invitations can’t wait forever.
🗓️ Map out those dependencies before you start assigning tasks. It’s easier to fix a tight schedule on paper than the week before the event.
Plan for event day, not just the run-up.
Who’s greeting guests? Who’s checking the AV setup? Who steps in if a speaker runs late?
✅ Keep these responsibilities alongside the rest of the plan. With Bitrix24, the team can assign tasks, set deadlines, and check task progress in one place. If something is still waiting on a decision or approval, it’s easier to spot before it holds up the next step.

Where should this conversation live?
There's no single right answer, but here's one scenario we suggest:
• Quick question, no urgency → Chat
• A decision the whole team needs → the Feed
• More than two messages back and forth → Video call
• Needs to reach a client right now → Call
• Belongs to a piece of actual work → a Task comment
• Something a new teammate will need → Knowledge Base
Each of these works on its own.
It's just more convenient when they all live in one place — the rule is easier to follow when the tools are already in the same room.
