Yesterday, I led the City Boy Movement - FCT delegation on a courtesy visit to the Director General, Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), where we sought strategic media partnership to strengthen our grassroots advocacy and campaigns. Our key focus was the Renewed Hope Community Impact Tour themed: “Seeing is Believing,” aimed at showcasing developmental projects delivered across the FCT under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, through the FCT Minister, Barr. At Dafara, Kuje, this outreach was personal; listening to people, connecting with families and showing that every community matters. Through the “Text Me Food” initiative of our Patron, Barr. Seyi Tinubu, families received food support while participating local vendors also benefited from increased patronage and economic activity. City Boy Movement (CBM) FCT Chapter Meets FCT Political Stakeholders and Elders to Move for the Establishment of CBM FCT Honorary Advisory Council (HAC), Led by Senator Isa Maina and Others The FCT Chapter of the City Boy Movement has commenced consultations with respected political stakeholders and elders across the Federal Capital Territory towards the establishment of the CBM FCT Honorary Advisory Council (HAC). The proposed Council is envisioned as a body of experienced leaders and statesmen who will provide institutional guidance, counsel and stakeholder support to the leadership of CBM FCT as the Movement continues to strengthen its structures and engagements across the six Area Councils. Leading the proposed Council is Senator Isa Maina, alongside other distinguished political elders and stakeholders whose experience, relationships and understanding of the FCT political landscape are expected to provide valuable guidance to the Movement. For CBM FCT, the initiative reflects the importance of connecting the energy of young people and grassroots structures with the wisdom and institutional experience of senior political stakeholders. It is also intended to create a platform for consultation, dialogue and stronger relationships across generations and communities within the FCT. Speaking during the engagement, the FCT Director of City Boy Movement, Hon. Bitrus Lawrence Garki, noted that sustainable political organisation requires both an active grassroots base and the counsel of experienced leaders. The proposed Honorary Advisory Council will therefore serve in an advisory capacity, providing strategic counsel and facilitating constructive engagement between CBM FCT and relevant stakeholders across the Territory. Further consultations with identified elders and stakeholders are expected to continue ahead of the formal constitution and unveiling of the CBM FCT Honorary Advisory Council (HAC). ~ CBM FCT Media
