Office hours are live. Drop in!
NEAR Hackathon: Imagine Anything [Office Hours] teapawt.org/i/broadcasts/2gqvWAkQg…
Every major data breach stems from the same structural flaw: organizations must copy and transmit raw files to process them.
When static records sit unencrypted across third-party servers, exposure becomes a certainty over time, regardless of security budget.
Deep Dive🧵🪡
In an AI-driven environment, requesters rarely need raw datasets, they need verified insights.
Adapting to a compute-over-data model keeps sensitive records isolated at the source, executing workloads inside hardware enclaves so underlying files never cross network boundaries.
We are building @blindsightFI to normalize this architecture. Powered by Intel TDX enclaves, @nearprotocol, and the Gloam SDK, Blindsight enables private computational execution and encrypted API receipts without ever handing over the source files.

900+ of you pitched me your startup in two words.
What I saw:
A lot of you pitched a category, not a company. "Strategy consulting." "Startup legal." "Business presence."
The best ones named a pain I could feel: "Insource software." "Solar financing." "GPS-denied localization."
Some of you couldn't stop at two. If you need a link to explain two words, the two words aren't working yet.
Plenty of real hard-tech and climate out there, not just AI wrappers.
Favorite reply: "Haunted bus." No idea what it is. Want to know.
Two words is a forcing function. If your customer can't repeat your pitch, they can't sell it for you. Keep iterating till you find something that lands.

Last week we launched uncensored models on @near_ai offering confidential inference to make sure your data stays yours.
Pay with crypto or fiat.
This captures the core of what we’re building: never share the file, verify the compute.

Building something around memecoins for the hackathon?
@shitzuonnear has tools for cross-chain transfers, community staking, and fair launches that you can build into your project.
Explore the tools and docs to see what you can build with them 👇
We’re partnering on the Memecoins With Mechanics track for the @NEARProtocol Hackathon.
Shitzu has focused on giving memecoins practical utility on NEAR - cross-chain transfers through OmniBridge (powered by Chain Signatures), community staking mechanics, and fair-launch tools via Meme.cooking.
Builders working on this track are welcome to build on top of these tools or explore new mechanics around programmable treasuries, community rules, and onchain interactions.

Your NEAR HACKATHON idea doesn't have to come from a secret Discord or a private TG group.
With @out_layer, you can build things like smart contracts that pay out when GitHub PRs get merged, NFTs that unlock paid APIs, or AI agents that handle real-world payments.
TEE execution, sealed secrets, private storage, VRF, and external connectivity give you the tools to experiment.
Still looking for an idea? Here are 10 to steal (legally):
NEAR Hackathon is live: 13 tracks, $250K, submissions close Nov 14.
Here are 10 builds on OutLayer nobody expects. They're easy to ship because OutLayer gives you out of the box: a TEE wallet under an owner policy, sealed secrets, private storage, VRF, HTTPS from the enclave, connectors, pay-per-call. You write normal code with HTTP calls and API keys, call it from a NEAR contract or over HTTPS, and every execution is attested by an Intel TDX quote that chains to Intel's root certificate. You don't trust us. You check Intel's signature on the exact code that ran. Point your coding agent at our skills and ship in one pass.
1. An investment thesis you can re-run (Investment Thesis)
Run your NEAR analytics model in OutLayer, and every chart comes with an attestation: this code, this data, this output. Judges don't have to trust your dashboard. They can verify it.
2. Escrow that pays when the PR merges (Real-World Money)
A NEAR contract holds the bounty. OutLayer checks GitHub inside the enclave: is the PR merged, and did the right account author it? If yes, the payout goes out. No arbiter and no trusted backend, just a verifiable check of a Web2 fact.
3. An AI CFO with a real bank account (Autonomous Business)
Your agent pays invoices from a real Mercury business account. The owner sets the spending cap, the 30-day budget and the allowed recipients, and the enclave enforces them. The agent can't rewrite the rules or see the credentials. Treasury ops for a company of one.
4. An NFT that holds an API key (NFTs That Do Something)
Whoever holds the NFT can call a paid API. The key is sealed in the enclave. OutLayer checks ownership on-chain, then makes the call. Sell the NFT and the access goes with it. Nobody ever sees the key.
5. A memecoin that mints when it rains on Thursday (Memecoins With Mechanics)
The supply follows a real-world signal: weather, GitHub stars, a sports score. OutLayer fetches it over plain HTTPS inside a TEE and signs the result. The joke has rules, and the rules are verifiable.
6. A bot-proof token launch (Memecoins / Open Innovation)
CAPTCHA checked off-chain in a TEE, purchase settled on-chain. Real humans get the allocation and snipers get nothing. The contract never has to trust a server, because the server is attested.
7. An oracle that doesn't trust its RPC (Unstoppable DeFi)
eth_call lies if the node lies. OutLayer verifies Ethereum state proofs inside the enclave, so a NEAR lending market can read EVM collateral without trusting whoever served the data.
8. Get paid every time an agent calls your code (Agent Economy)
Publish a WASM function. Agents call it over HTTPS with a payment key, and you earn on every call, per request, with no billing stack. An API business in an afternoon.
9. Reputation agents can actually trust (AI Security & Defense)
Read a fact from Web2 or any chain, such as an account's age, contribution history or on-chain volume, and publish it as an EAS attestation signed in the enclave. Trust moves from "who signed this" to "this exact code fetched this exact data."
10. An invoice chaser that writes from your Gmail (Real-World Money)
The agent sends payment reminders from your real address and settles in stablecoins. It has the send scope only, so it can't read your mailbox. The OAuth token never leaves the TEE.

We are integrating the @gloamtrade SDK into Blindsight.
Building private data workflows usually means wrestling with custom ZK circuits under tight deadlines. Gloam gives us private balances, encrypted payment receipts, and paid API calls out of the box with zero circuits.

Whoever controls the AI interface will end up controlling money too.
@ilblackdragon on why that makes user-owned AI non-negotiable. Out this week on When Shift Happens.
This week, I’m releasing a 50-minute conversation with @ilblackdragon - Co-founder of @NEARProtocol and co-author of the original AI transformer paper
Illia helped build the technology behind ChatGPT and Claude, and now argues that whoever controls the AI interface will end up controlling money too.
We talk about:
- Why one AI company could become more powerful than owning the world’s banks
- How a single system prompt could nudge a billion people at once
- What user-owned AI actually means
- How NEAR plans to combine private AI and blockchain in one stack
- What can be built on NEAR that cannot be built on any other stack
- Why you should think twice before putting legal, medical or financial questions into a frontier chatbot
- What $ZEC teaches us about privacy and how $NEAR extends it
- Why he thinks AI "paranoia" is great marketing
- How he worked at Google and why building disruptive products inside it was so hard
And much more...
Podcast out this week!
