BRD are very excited to announce we’ve officially started training together. Even though contacts off the cards for now it’s amazing to be back on skates making loads of new friends.

Doing that merger piece for BRD really gave me an appreciation for just how many current/former skaters from Birmingham either skated or coached at the World Cups. This list is prolly not complete. Gotta be up there in terms of # of skaters.
You can read our full press release and learn about how you can get involved on our new website

We are not planning to have a can as our logo forever and are looking for help in designing our new brand. BRD will offer a competitive rate of pay for carrying out any agreed work. You can read the brief here:

We are very excited to be part of the new Birmingham Roller Derby. This is a really exciting moment for our members, for our city and for UK roller derby!
GOOD NEWS: Very exiting news and everyone loves a merger story. Birmingham Blitz Dames and Central City have joined forces - everyone say hello and welcome to Birmingham Roller Derby! #DerbyTwitter 🛼

Roller skating is in the news today. A few of the Blitz Dames have joined the Sisterhood on Wheels for some park skating and we think it's great that more women are skating in Birmingham! 🛼🛼🛼 bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england…

Heartbreaking news from our friends at @wearerainycity. The Thunderdome has long been an iconic venue for roller derby in the UK and we will be sad to see it go. Please get in touch with them if you think you can help with venues or storage. #SaveRainyCity #DerbyTwitter
We're a very sad league this morning. Skater Kate Push has put it into words better than I could. Have a read. #SaveRainyCity

Inspired by @thederbyapex we had a workshop for the league tonight to discuss the WFTDA rankings and game strategy. Now we can't wait to get back to skating so we can put all our ideas into practice! 💪
