for the strawpage anon: sorry for the confusion. i'm not against downloading and putting fics on public drives as long as proper credit is given - i think it's an important archival tool in situations like this. i'm speaking on conversations i've seen sparking from that topic.

another addendum: if an author expresses that they want their fics removed from those drives it's absolutely your obligation to do so - yes, even if the download button has always existed. anyone can revoke their consent at any time especially with new circumstances introduced.

he likes to feel important to mc. he likes to carefully organize her shoes at his door, prepare her coffee in the mornings, make her life easier in hundreds of small ways. i interpret it as bringing him a sense of accomplishment he can't fulfill anywhere else. +

just tiny things that on the surface just make him seem like a considerate, loving partner. and he is. but i think of him maybe secretly perceiving this part of himself as selfish or greedy simply because he knows where it's coming from and knows the pleasure it brings him.
