Gender critical doesn't mean 'hates trans' - it refers to a position arising from feminist analysis of patriarchally constructed behavioural expectations imposed according to sex and weaponised to maintain male supremacy.

I don’t care if someone calls me a ‘transphobe’. In fact, I’ve reached the point where I take it as a compliment. Because it’s increasingly used to describe women who stand up for their sex-based rights. And the men who support them. Why would I be insulted by that? But while I’m not offended by the word, I am wary of people who use it. Because it tells me something about their priorities. That they believe men’s identities and feelings matter more than the safety, privacy and dignity of women and girls. And that’s not someone whose judgement I’d be inclined to trust.

The only way a man can have a woman's brain is if he's carrying it around in a damned jar. If you see such a man, alert the authorities. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. ✌️💋

The position of the Sex Discrimination Commissioner should not come as a surprise and in fact is the only position that she can take in order to try be consistent and coherent to herself and others given her overarching views and opinions. We must understand that the position she expressed is the only position one can organically arrive at, if one - as she does- a) conflates sex and gender identity b) disregards the material reality of women in favor of women being a feeling or an identity. c) disregards that certain reproductive processes are tied to being of a certain sex. I have genuinely tried to understand this position and to debate it with her to no avail. There is one point where we fundamentally differ and that I think underpins her positions on this: Commissioner Cody believes that if we were to recognize that women and girls have historically been discriminated against based on their sex (intersecting with other grounds), that would mean that we accept that that this discrimination is biologically determined and that this discrimination is acceptable or justified. This reasoning is flawed. We would not follow the same logic with any other form of discrimination, say for example racial discrimination. Naming that black people are often and have been often discriminated against because they are black does not suggest that such discrimination is justified, nor a tacit acceptance of it, nor does it suggest that they should be forever locked in a condition of being racially discriminated against. The answer to a serious problem cannot be to stop naming the cause, in the hope that this cause would magically go away or that its impact on the lives of people would soften or vanish.
Sex Discrimination Commissioner Anna Cody at Senate estimates said that protections designed to protect breastfeeding women from being discriminated against would also extend to “induced lactation in a biological male”. Read the full story: bit.ly/4zb29gC

If you feel like you will literally die if you can’t have cosmetic surgery and inject hormones of the opposite sex… you aren’t well. I’m sorry but that isn’t healthy. No generation before us has had mass suicides because we couldn’t mimic the opposite sex. No generation before us has had to have healthy reproductive organs removed or the looming threat of suicide over-takes them. This is a really bad headspace you are in and you’ve got to find a way to pull yourself up and out of it. Big Pharma and the industrialized medical complex aren’t going to save you. Specialized “gender clinics with specialized gender affirming clinicians”aren’t going to save you. LGBTQ+ advocacy groups aren’t going to save you. You are caught-up in a really toxic fantasy and a culture bound phenomenon of self-harm masquerading as liberation. You have to get out of it, it’s going to take you down. You have to save yourself from yourself. Your body is fine. Free your mind.

This is painful to watch. You can almost see the cogs moving. An absolutist has realised her original position was built on toxic sand and tries to head for decent solid ground. And fails.

Any man can declare himself a woman. There can be no objective difference between men, and men who have declared themselves women, because they are the same men.

If you need more proof that Dr Beth Upton is a creep; after his tribunal case in the UK not going his way, he fled to Australia, knowing he can get away with harassing female patients and co-workers there in a way he couldn't in the UK. He is a menace to society and should not be allowed near any vulnerable people! 🤬
Oh what a surprise ... Dr Beth Upton - the male doctor at the centre of nurse Sandie Peggie’s tribunal case over using a female changing room at NHS Fife - isn't exactly keeping a low profile after his move to Australia. The Scottish Mail on Sunday reports that Upton - now known as Lis - reportedly became involved in an incident at Port Macquarie Base Hospital ... After a female patient declined treatment from him and requested a female doctor. Link below 👇

This is it. Asking for female-only spaces gets called hateful because some men treat women’s boundaries as oppression.
Because a certain kind of man believes that not getting everything he wants from women is oppression. This applies both to incels and to the type of trans-identified man who insists that speech, laws and physical spaces should be reconfigured around his self-image.

Exactly right. Meanwhile @AlboMP & @AustralianLabor continue to ignore women's voices, needs, rights, consideration & inclusion to promote a sexist, homophobic ideology. We won't be silenced. Stand by your leftist ideals rather than this corporatised, anti-science individualism.
SEX 🧬 GENDER IDENTITY 🤡 MAN 🤷‍♂️ WOMAN 🤷‍♀️ The SEX Discrimination Act doesn’t define “sex.” It doesn’t define “gender identity”. It doesn’t define “man.” It doesn’t define “woman.” And these words with NO definition is the guiding legislation for human rights in Australia. 🤯 The result is pure clown-world theatre. 🤡 Parliamentarians and the Sex Discrimination Commissioner perform genuine confusion at the words “biological man” and “biological woman.” Senator Ellie Whiteaker scoffs and asks what the term “biological woman” means? Anna Cody @AusHumanRights claimed to not understand the term “biological men.” 🤦‍♀️ If the Sex Discrimination Act cannot tell the difference between a woman and a man who says he is a woman, it cannot protect women. That is not inclusion. That is the erasure of sex-based rights by deliberate refusal to define the terms. 🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️ Women no longer have an unambiguous legal right to single-sex spaces, services or sports and objecting can itself be framed as unlawful discrimination. The undefined words aren’t a loophole. They are the policy. And when asked whether the government will fix any of this, Minister for Women @SenKatyG was crystal clear: no. No definitions of man, woman or sex will be restored. The deliberate 2013 deletion stands. 😤 WRNA is calling for the Sex Discrimination Act to be amended so that “sex” means biological sex, “woman” means adult human female, and single-sex provisions actually mean single-sex. Until that happens, women will keep being told that basic biology is a “ridiculous question”. #FixTheSDA 💜🤍💚

A woman in an abusive relationship is most vulnerable when she is leaving. That’s what’s happening with “trans.” It’s a men’s sexual entitlement movement backed by a massive industry - a gruesome blend of wealthy AGPs, the medical and pharma industries, tech, and porn. It has been gaslighting everyone for decades. For a long time, that worked. We accepted the abuse. But most of us have woken up. A clear majority of people have had it, all over the world, regardless of political affiliation, religion, or sexual orientation. The abusers are holding on for dear life and lashing out. That’s how this works. Two links in reply: one free post about how the “gender identity” industry is a narcissistic abuser (feel free to share) and one podcast episode behind a paywall about how it’s in the death throes of a dying star. I’m very sorry to say that it is going to get much worse until it’s finally over. Don’t let anything shock you. 1/3

Upton said in court in Scotland that if a traumatised woman asked for female care he wouldn’t leave the room because she might be ok with men who ID as women It is no surprise he is now ignoring women’s boundaries in Australia This is predatory behaviour & we can all see it

Such is the state of Australian academia that exploring the veracity of ideas has been replaced by the intellectually stunted 'no debate!' gender misogynist diktat.
stephen rice is on fire! 🔥 two articles in today's australian about trans activism and the universities. "For more than a century, universities have been intellectual battlegrounds where ideas, no matter how controversial, are stress-tested through argument. Today, that model is being dismantled from within as activist academics declare that any questioning of trans-affirming theories of gender is off limits. Dehumanising. Bullying. Dangerous."

🔊To those asking, “How can we help Afghan women?” First, share their voices. In a time when even speaking puts women at risk, being heard means hope, visibility, and survival. Second, support our online education program. Despite fear and restrictions, Afghan girls are secretly continuing their studies. You can help by sponsoring internet access so students can attend online classes, or by volunteering as a teacher and sharing your knowledge with girls who have been denied education. Third, support food aid for widows and women living alone who have no male provider in the household and are often too afraid to go outside.
