Life hack for fellow β˜•οΈ lovers: I love the fabulous hotels in Vegas but they never have in-room coffee! I now bring a travel kettle, camp mug, and coffee so no one has to see me before I’m caffeinated. @Pathologists #CAP24

Hey incoming trainees! Congratulations on starting your respective residencies. This may be a late post BUT please ask your training program when you get your first paycheck . It’s not uncommon to have to wait until August for it unfortunately πŸ˜“.

Without HBCUs, the representation of physicians identifying as Black would plummet from an abysmal 5.something% to somewhere around 2.something%. Thank you, Flexner and the AMA. Thank you, decades of biased admission policies. Repercussions exist for both action and inaction. – at Seattle, WA
There are more than 150 medical schools in the U.S., but to this day, two HBCUs, Howard & Meharry medical schools, still produce the MOST Black physicians. It’s past time for PWIs to step up & commit to educating a diverse workforce. HBCUs can’t continue to do the heavy lifting.

Not me waking up this 28th day of Black History Month to hear this β€œexpert” say that Black women have higher maternal mortality rates because they enter pregnancy less healthy. Didn’t mention a word about systemic racism or how this disparity holds across socioeconomic levels…

Pros of flying to see family: love and good eating Cons of flying back home : delay, delays, and more delays 😩😩😩. Shout out to the crew, pilots, and staff at @AmericanAir for updating tired travelers about delays and getting us to Our destinations safely. – at Charlotte, NC
