Hello everyone. Ill be retiring my Twitter account this week. Pretty banal reasons: this format has been grinding my attention span to dust for 10 years, and the small, unresolved doses of angst I get from short statements about intractable problems really get me down
I substack (infrequently) and hope to be writing again on Ukraine more this year. substack.com/@brianmilakovsk…
Hi everyone. Im Substacking now. I write here about the purpose of wresting control of #Greenland against the will of the Greenlanders, Danes and American public: building dictatorial executive power. open.substack.com/pub/milako…
Re-upping this article I wrote with a leading #Ukraine industrial economist about how Western countries could actually support UA economic recovery thru #CriticalMinerals development. For obvious reasons. dsnews.ua/ukr/economics/krit…
Essentially we call for a robust Local Content policy. In partnership w/ Kyiv foreign investors can use as much UA equipment, parts and services as possible to extract the minerals, and concentrate as much of the enrichment and processing within UA as possible
There is a deep body of global experience and research about this. Chile, Indonesia and many African counties have used Local Content successfully, tho there are also failed cases.

Totally banal observation, but #Ukraine pop music is so good right now. Edgy stuff, arty stuff, fun stuff, whatever. Just lots of consistently memorable music. It's been my soundtrack of late
On top of all this, the NYT recently published their insider version, in which RU allegedly demanded also getting ALL of Donetsk Oblast, most of which it still didn't control. For fuck's sake. This was the "deal." Now we get it straight from Lavrov's mouth.
@DrRadchenko @scharap have you seen this? Would it impact the conclusions of your recent piece? I'm not trolling, I understand we are all chasing the best sources we can find. But this seems... principally important
