Why arnt people making more of a fuss about this?
Ukraine is in midst of full scale war & under escalating bombardment. Yet USA has left it literally defenceless.
By choice.
Cut off from not only US rockets but banned Europe from sending rockets. & europe is obeying that order.
And US is also holding back rockets europe has *already paid for*. Ie it’s europe property…
This is nuts.

Around an hour ago, a Russian Su-57 launched three Kh-59/69 cruise missiles at Kanatove Airbase in Kirovohrad Oblast.
The missiles flew in two groups, and all impacted their targets. There were no interceptions.
Kanatove Airbase is used by Ukrainian tactical aviation for strikes against Russian positions on the frontline, and for other aviation used for air defence purposes.

Interesting coincidences that are not coincidences at all:
◾️ On October 19, Russian deputy prime minister Grigorenko, head of the Russian government’s executive office, was announced to be leaving his post, leaving PM Mishustin effectively without his own people in the government.
◾️ On October 21, the Chairman of the State Council of China met with Mishustin in St. Petersburg. Irina Okladnikova, who at the time was First Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, was invited to the meeting.
◾️ On October 24, Okladnikova became deputy prime minister.
As we can see, before receiving senior appointments, officials are first introduced to the Chinese representative. This directly points to Russia’s growing dependence on China.
◾️ On October 24, Aleksandr Blikman, Deputy Head of the Electronic Document Management Department of Russia’s Federal Tax Service, was detained. He was an associate of former Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko, who, in turn, was Prime Minister Mishustin’s right-hand man in the government.
Mishustin has often been described as a potential successor to Putin.
According to political analyst Vadym Denysenko, these developments indicate not only Putin’s fear and paranoia.
They are also part of an attempt by the FSB to regain the position it held before 2016. In 2016, Putin reshaped the state apparatus and built a technocratic-bureaucratic power structure that became equal in influence to the FSB’s own power structure. The key figures in this technocratic hierarchy were Vaino (Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office), Kiriyenko (First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office), Nabiullina (Governor of the Central Bank of Russia) and Mishustin.
Nabiullina is due to leave her post in March 2027. Vaino is untouchable and has direct contacts with Russian security services. Kiriyenko has faced several significant attacks, the most symbolic of which was the arrest of political scientist Kinev. Moreover, the State Duma elections showed that Kiriyenko’s complex political maneuvers are, in fact, no longer wanted by anyone.
According to Denysenko, Mishustin appears to be next in line. The FSB cannot arrest figures at Mishustin’s or Kiriyenko’s level, particularly after the failures of the cases involving the Rotenberg brothers and businessman Traber. But the FSB can target people at Blikman’s level to accumulate compromising material.
The main question in Russia’s current political power struggle is whether Putin will replace Bortnikov (Director of Russia’s Federal Security Service) in a month. Bortnikov is turning 75, and Putin must either extend his tenure or dismiss him. If he does dismiss him, whom will he choose as his successor?
According to Denysenko, a series of fundamental changes is taking place within Russia’s highest levels of government in 2026. The most significant development is the growing influence of the FSB, which has a real chance of reshaping the system of governance to bring it back under its own control.
And if it succeeds, Putin himself could be its next victim.

Two people have been killed and 17 injured following an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Voronezh, regional governor Alexander Gusev stated.
Many of the casualties were on a train that was struck by falling debris from a drone. Additionally, fires broke out at a business center in the heart of Voronezh and at a school stadium.
The governor further reported that several industrial facilities caught fire as a result of the AFU attack.
Neither the United States nor the West as a whole has any intention of withdrawing from this war against Russia. No amount of negotiation will save Russia. Western missiles are already striking strategic targets deep within Russian territory. Russia does not wish to be at war with the West? That is understandable. Yet, the West is actively waging war against Russia. How does that work?

On the third attempt, Russian drones destroyed the last Epicenter still operating in Kharkiv, causing a massive fire. The chain called coordinated strikes on stores in Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia and Poltava the “total destruction of the network”. Another store in Vinnytsia was hit today. xitter.cf/IuliiaMendel/status/21…
Russian forces hit four large home-improvement stores in four different cities in less than a day. The company called it the total destruction of its network. This is Epicenter, one of Ukraine’s biggest retail chains. Before the full-scale war it ran about 80 stores and employed nearly 30,000 people. Roughly ten of its stores have been completely destroyed and more than a dozen damaged. Across Ukraine, about 38 shopping centers belonging to different chains — roughly 10% of the entire market — have been hit or destroyed. Warehouses have lost around 30% of their pre-war space.

➡️ A Kommersant article a few days ago indicated that the cost of Russian freight - likely everyone else's - is skyrocketing. As ~75% of its crude goes either to China or India, most of Russia's shipments are "long-haul", so freight charges are very important to export economics.
➡️ That said, 2/3 or more of Russian maritime exports are carried on "shadow fleet" tankers which - now that the other two buyers of shadow fleet services, Iran and Venezuela, are off the market - have few options to carrying Russian crude. In other words, the pricing pressure on those deliveries may be lessened.

➡️ European gas is again above $1,100/mcm ($31/mcf, ~12x US Henry Hub).
➡️ Meanwhile, the last pipeline connection for Russian gas into the EU - TurkStream Line-2, which crosses into Bulgaria - is scheduled to be closed no later than Nov. 1, 2027, and Russian LNG will be barred from the EU from Jan. 1, 2027.
➡️ In 2025, Russian LNG accounted for ~18bcm of Europe's gas imports, while Line-2 of TurkStream added almost 18bcm more, together 12-13% of Europe's total imports.
➡️ Note that with the jump in gas prices, Line-2 has been run at ~24% above nameplate capacity in recent days, within a whisker of demonstrated maximum capacity. For October as a whole, it is on track to average 117% of nameplate capacity and 92% of demonstrated maximum.
