Hi all! Some of you have sent notifications here about the site being down as it was on Friday. There is work being carried out to fix the gateway timeout issue associated with the search function on site. The shutdown was unscheduled and I hope we will be up soon. Apologies!

Some personal news - today is my last day working @boards. It's been an 11yr rollercoaster and I'll miss lots about it, not least the people, the sense of community and some of the crazy stuff good and bad that has happened. Take care all :) ~Niamh boards.ie/discussion/2058272…

It is always a sad day when we learn of the death of a boardsie and we were very sorry to read about Thomas today. Lots of users who remember him have been posting their memories. RIP Thomas. boards.ie/discussion/2058262…

It is with such a heavy heart that I write this. Thomas my beloved husband was killed on Tuesday last in Madrid when out for a run. We are absolutely devastated and utterly bereft without him. Niamh
