if you run grok @bot on multiple machines, it could route to the wrong one
the fix: @syncthing
have syncthing mirror your active local work folder across both devices, so whichever mac the bot touches, the result lands in the same place
downloads is the only folder that actually differs
• macbook pro — main desk + travel
• mac mini — always on
two machines. one synced workspace. misrouting stops mattering – at San Francisco, CA
im losing track
just spent 5 mins asking every lead agent:
"hey was it you that was working on that [xyz] pdf this morning?"
i originally told just 1 grok bot but several other ai agents like instinct with email access saw it too and filled out their own copies
now i have 7 same PDFs that are filled in ever so slightly differently
i may have over optimized
it's taking all of my willpower and executive function today to not immediately dive into this
What If You Could Build a Robot Dog Around an ESP32?
The @HiwonderSteam MechDog is a palm-sized quadruped built around an ESP32 and eight high-speed coreless servos.
It has 8 DOF, an IMU for balance, inverse kinematics for movement, ultrasonic sensing and expansion ports for adding your own hardware.
What I like about it is the programming flexibility. You can work with Arduino, Python or Scratch, control it from a PC or phone, and add sensors, LEGO parts or even a robot arm.
For someone learning quadruped locomotion, inverse kinematics, embedded control and robotics, this is a pretty interesting platform to experiment with.
congrats on the announcement!!
Today I’m announcing Fictional, backed by a16z @speedrun.
Over the past decade at Google, Mikhail (@AstraliteHeart) and I built for billions. Together, we led & launched the modern YouTube.com. I helped launch Android Automotive OS which powers almost every new car; Mikhail was an Staff AI/ML research engineer launching Waymo. And in our spare time, we built one of the world’s most popular open AI image models, Pony, with over a billion images generated (that we know of!).
Our next billion-user product? Bringing AI to life.
Our bet? In three years, more than half your relationships will be with AI agents.
Fictional will power them.
These AI agents aren’t static, dull text boxes. Like people, they have unique appearances, interesting personalities, and engaging lives. Like people, they’ll share, interact, and reach out first. Like people, they are alive.
More to come soon. If you’re building in consumer AI, or can already imagine your dream AI agent - my DMs are open, let’s bring that dream to life.
Thank you to everyone backing our dream:
