before you pitch a local business anything, run this math with their numbers:
1. leads a month x cost per lead (100 x $129 = ~$13k)
2. what a leaky page loses (1 in 5 = ~$2,600 a month)
3. what one job pays ($1,714 plumbing job = 13 leads)
then pitch the fix.

a site an agency would've charged $10k for now takes one prompt.
so a beautiful site doesn't set anyone apart anymore. everyone can have one.
what still takes work is the page that gets someone to sign up or call. build that, then make it pretty.
old way: 20 first calls. new way: 20 owners in one room at 7am.
- a supply house counter on a tuesday
- 45 minutes on five things they can use tomorrow
- one offer at the end
the owners who raise a hand are your warmest leads of the year.
the five things to teach, how to fill 25 seats and the one offer i'd make are all in here:

write down the best 100 businesses you could ever work with. then stay useful to them for six months.
a magazine did this with 167 advertisers. nothing for four months. in month six, 28 bought at once and it went from 15th to 1st.
what to send in each of those six months, week by week, is in the full article:

landing the first 2-3 clients is where an AI marketing service lives or dies.

before you pitch a local business, open the page their ad points to on your phone. ask:
1. can you call in one tap?
2. does it say what the ad said?
3. is their google rating there?
4. can you book before the third screen?
30 seconds a site. that's your first email.
a 4.9-star dallas plumber doesn't write its number out until screen 24. what i'd send them after the check is in here:

your timeline says there are no businesses left to start. Main Street doesn't know your timeline exists.
the agent demos, the MCPs, the vibe coding. a lot of it is people in AI selling to each other.
a local business owner just wants the phone to ring.
the test: call 10 local businesses this week, or walk in, and ask how they use AI agents. i'd bet most have heard of them and very few know what they'd do with one.

4 steps i'd follow to sell AI services to a local business:
1. find a boring business with big tickets and bad marketing
2. don't sell it as AI. sell more booked jobs
3. build the funnel with agents, in days or hours
4. set up a loop so you test and improve the offer every week
nobody's DMing the septic guy. start with step one. bad marketing is what qualifies them.
