Ken Anderson (Coach)

What CJ is trying to tell you guys without telling you guys, is his split wasnt working. As a hitter when you’re facing Yamamoto, you can’t swing at the FB that’s mid thigh high or lower anywhere in the zone because the split(the red zone right below it) tunnels extremely well there and you will be swinging over the top of it a ton and it becomes a guessing game if he is locating both pitches. Which is what it was for the Braves. That’s when you have to rely on tendencies like is he getting ahead with the FB early and going to it late or is he working backwards or is he saying F you, I’m doing whatever i want and you can’t stop me. He was the last one facing the Braves. Against the brewers, he did not have command or the depth he would normally get on his split and it was easier to read out of the hand. That’s why the brewers had much better at bats and were able to get to him, he did not have his good stuff. He did against the Braves. You can have your opinions and howl at the moon, but this is true.
