Two questions please amazing Twitter heritage people... 1) What heritage days out exist for a family to immerse themselves in women's history? There are plenty of places with a strand of their story about a historical woman, but is there anywhere where is it the main story?

I am skiing with my family. But I don’t ski. I didn’t grow up skiing. I feel utterly overwhelmed. I am surrounded by people for whom belonging here is worn as a badge of honour. They love it. It is their place. They stride with confidence and never a glance back for the newbie…

It been a sharp lesson in how it feels to be somewhere you don’t feel you belong. Simple things like clear signage, an explanation of how it all works, where I can go, what I should have brought, touchpoints with real people to ask for help would have made such a difference.

I am writing this down here to I remember this feeling. It’s not a nice feeling, but it is a feeling we know many first time visitors feel at museums and heritage sites every day.
