You cannot get educated by this self-propagating system in which people study to pass exams, and teach others to pass exams, but nobody knows anything. You learn something by doing it yourself, by asking questions, by thinking, and by experimenting. 🧠

Familiarity and habit are strong attractors, but in my experience, repeatedly trying harder at an approach that hasn’t been working isn’t a viable answer. It may seem counterintuitive, but it’s time to pivot: stop, reevaluate goals, priorities and approach; make a new plan

Make this trend today: #USPSProtests (It’s not enough to retweet. You have to type the hashtag for Twitter to count it.)
So many of you are writing, calling, and urging us to act to protect the US Postal Service. We share your anger and frustration about what Trump is doing and your alarm about what it could mean for the election. And we ARE working to stop him. Some things worth following: 1/
I’d be happy if, basically, we just ban the words “basically” and “just” from all software development related conversations for a few years

We own 2 flashlights and 2 lanterns from gearlight.com. They’re fantastic. Broke the lens assembly in one flashlight & contacted them to buy a replacement part. They responded within a few hours and sent me a new flashlight at no charge. Amazing. Thank you!
2010: set work chat to never away so people know you’re working 2020: set work chat to always away so you can get actual work done

What a day. After nearly 5 hours of waiting on the West End Overlook, I finally got the view I was hoping for. An absolutely incredible double rainbow filled the sky over #Pittsburgh, towering high into the colorful sky. One of the most amazing sunsets I've ever seen in this city

There is no future for Agile. The term has been corrupted to the point that it's describing a dysfunctional way of working, antithetical to the original philosophy, concepts, and thinking. But... 1/2

Google’s Project Baseline coronavirus screening website appears to be one huge data mining operation to collect your health information for commercial purposes. It does not appear to follow HIPAA privacy laws. No wonder Trump was pushing this so hard. This is dystopian.
