Joe Mazzulla on reports of the Celtics vibes being high at training camp
"Every team you lead is the most together team right now. Because we haven't traveled. No one's gotten benched. No one's been on a losing streak. No one's gotten blamed in the media. No one's had to go stand in the corner for 10 minutes and not get the ball. So, you learn those things as the season goes on, and you just learn how to work through those things together. And you can't simulate those. It just comes with time. And so, right now I would say all 30 teams feel great about themselves, and we got to wait till adversity hits. And adversity is even a strong word. There's nothing really adverse about playing in the NBA. But we got to wait until stuff doesn't go your way, and then you got to figure out who we are and how we're going to be at our best."

Charles Barkley is drawing attention for his comments about the people he believes deserve the most admiration and respect.
“Teachers, firemen, policemen, nurses, and people in the armed services. Those are the people I admire and respect the most. They got, like, real jobs, and they’re real important. I dribble a stupid basketball. I’ve gotten more respect and more money than I’ve ever deserved in my life,” Barkley said.

We mourn the passing of the last living Wakulla County WWII Navy veteran Joseph Williams. One of America's treasured heroes, devoted family man, and one of America's oldest members of the Greatest Generation, who has passed away at the age of 106, died on July 25, 2026.
Thank you, Joseph Williams, for your courage in war, your service in peace, and the example you set across 106 remarkable years. Your watch is over. May you now find eternal peace alongside your fellow shipmates and all who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Rest in peace, Joseph Williams. 🙏🏻🇺🇸

He was burning alive, yet he kept re-entering the burning Bradley Fighting Vehicle until all six soldiers and the Iraqi interpreter were safe. Burns covered 72% of his body. His first words were, ‘How are my boys?’ He died three weeks later. It took 16 years for him to receive the Medal of Honor. HIS NAME IS SERGEANT FIRST CLASS ALWYN C. CASHE, NEVER FORGET!!!

Happy birthday, Chesty!
#OTD, we celebrate the 128th birthday of Lt. Gen Lewis B. “Chesty” Puller, the most decorated Marine in history.
Chesty served 37 years in the Corps, leaving his mark on campaigns in China, Haiti, Nicaragua, World War II, and Korea.
“Old breed? New breed? There’s not a damn bit of difference as long as it’s the Marine breed.”
