Why libraries are still relevant, make sense and are still, for many, one of the last FREE but enriching services left in the UK. Support your local library (& librarians) if you have one..they are gold dust in a world where nearly everything else now costs £££ #libraries
Today is #WorldEnvironmentDay so we're being very sustainable by taking back all the books that people have read, putting them onto shelves for people to look through, then giving them out again to other people who haven't read them yet. It's a great system. ♻️ #Libraries

I was entirely appalled recently to see arts research funding questioned - in the same week as listening to a scientist working on the Hadron Collider compare science research to the arts in terms of justifying why we pursue our questions about the universe. Worth reading.
