PAUSING IN PROTEST - TOO MUCH CENSORSHIP FOR COMFORT: After investing 1000s of hours and $1000s of dollars, Notorious is largely pausing our posting on X.
We were so excited when Elon bought Twitter. Even more excited when @PeterVincer , our CEO, was un-shadowbanned. And even MORE excited when we were able to verify numerous accounts and pursue monetization on Twitter.
We noticed a shift shortly after Linda started her new role as CEO. Our main account @notoriousdotllc was slapped with a SENSITIVE CONTENT filter ON EVERY TWEET, for posting a video of Sam Smith at an all ages concert. This essentially killed that account.
Our @notorious__news account then got the same death-nail.
Even though we had spent a lot of money on growing those accounts, we didn’t skip a beat, and transitioned this account to be our main one, with a new, more careful content strategy.
Notorious Stuff was kicking-ass with our new focus and amassed over 30 million impressions the last 45 days. But in between it has been suspended permanently, only to be brought back - this was for posting about the Obama chef death. It was suspended again for 12 hours for saying someone deserved “a slap” which is likely “hate speech” and “encouraging violence” under their new system 😂.
We were then monetized and actually received $97 in the first wide payout. So we began investing more and have spent $5000 in the past 45 days.
Unfortunately, the last 2 weeks have been hell. Ads that spend all our $ immediately with little impressions and zero explanation why…likely these posts (about topics like Covid, Maui fires, Obama, Biden, RFK JR., etc) violate some policy, but we can NEVER get a straight answer from anyone as to which. Though our views have been WAY down, we actually got our most comments in 1 day ever 3 days ago - thousands of real, engaged comments.
THEN WE FELL OFF A CLIFF! From 50-100 comments per post to ZERO. Or ONE.
We have contacted ad support, which is the only support that is responsive, but to no avail. It seems they are motivated to root out any strong conservative voices under the labels of “hate speech” and “lawful, yet awful content.”
While we have whole-heartedly believed that X would be the bastion of free speech that this world so desperately needs, we no longer believe that to be the case. At the moment, we see no path forward to being able to remain consistent with our brand, and share opinions and information we believe to be true.
This is a sad day, and we hope something changes…because they are certainly losing significant momentum here. And have temporarily lost us.

Dear @X / @Support please spend some time educating your moderators/ad team. They are VERY confused over your “speech” policies. I say “speech” and not “free speech” because this platform has yet to resemble anything close to free speech. There is rampant intimidation, censorship, and de-platforming taking place. Please see my latest communication with your team below @elonmusk @lindayacc #Censorship @dom_lucre – at United States
