Since 2010, the Rays have made the World Series twice. The Yankees have made it once.
Over those 17 seasons, the Yankees have never had a payroll outside the top 6, while the Rays have never had a payroll inside the top 22.

Randy Arozarena could be a Yankees offseason target.
Adding an impact right-handed bat to this lineup could be huge, especially with his postseason track record.
The only potential issue is that it would likely mean moving Bellinger to CF. Would you make this move?
Congratulations to former Yankees Jake Bauers on winning NLCS MVP and Gary Sánchez on making it to the World Series! 👏
The Yankees will remain the last team in MLB to three-peat. 🏆 (1998, 1999, 2000)
If you were the Yankees GM, what moves would you make this offseason to upgrade the team? Who would you trade for and who would you sign? 👀
Let’s hear your moves in the comments!

The Yankees have a lot of work to do this offseason.
Second base needs to be addressed, with internal options including Volpe, Caballero, and potentially Garcia Jr.
They owe McMahon $16M, but third base could also be an area to upgrade.
Bullpen will need help.
Stanton at DH?

I like the idea of MLB going from 162 to 154 games. A weekly off day could help players stay healthy.
But teams selecting their postseason opponents could be some of the best theatrics in sports. Imagine rivalries picking each other.
Could be flawed, but very interesting.
Anthony Volpe’s career postseason stats through 23 games:
.268 AVG | 22 H | 2 HR | 9 RBI | .750 OPS
Interesting to see what Volpe’s role is in 2027.
Credit to Ben Rice, he has shown up this postseason. Through 4 games:
7-15 (.467) | 4 HR | 2 multi-HR games | 8 RBI
Game 3 pitching probables:
Nick Martinez (3.10 ERA) vs. Max Fried (2.80 ERA)
Gotta take it one game at a time.
Game 2 pitching matchup:
Cam Schlittler (1.95 ERA) vs. Freddy Peralta (4.32 ERA)
Looking to even up the series with our ace on the mound.
