I don't know why but posting a comment on the Luau RFC Github and sharing my perspective almost feels like I am walking into a Lion's Den and I'm about to be slaughtered 😭
I'm guessing that this is actually a conscious decision given Roblox's efforts to become a social platform and that they may make text customization a first-class feature with the messages portion of their app.
Or it's an embarrassing rookie mistake.
If you know how to do this in #WebGL let's talk!
They clearly have three images here:
- A fixed position rotating image
- A rotating image that orbits around the screen center
- And a fixed rotating image that fills the background
All with a special distortion applied.
