Hi, friends! 馃憢馃従
I have a huge favor to ask.
Do you know somebody who works at a gaming non-profit? And are they looking for an amazing, experienced, video-game-loving Program Manager to join their team? If so, I would greatly appreciate an introduction!
Context:鉃★笍
I was talking job stuff with a friend and this came up. He suggested looking for something that combined my love for gaming with my passion for non-profits, and that blew my mind. 馃く
How perfect!
So,
Thank you to @NerdGallagher for the amazing suggestion, and
Please let me know if you have any contacts and/or leads in gaming non-profit space.
Thank you! 馃挆
If you were laid off from Microsoft this week, I've compiled a list of resources and action items from various sources. I'm sure it doesn't cover everything, but it does cover a lot. Send me your MS alias if you'd like me to send it to you - I'm happy to share 馃挆
Hi, friends. You might have heard about all the layoffs happening right now. Unfortunately, some of us have been directly impacted by them. If you鈥檙e the latter, please read.
PRIORITIZE YOUR HEALTH AND WELL-BEING.
I take four different meds every day and check my blood pressure every morning. And you know what? My blood pressure has been significantly higher since I got laid off. My top number is 20-30 points higher, and my bottom number is 10-20 points higher.

If you're not affected, don't say "Let me know how I can help." Offer something concrete. LinkedIn endorsements, resume reviews, practice interviews, introductions are all great places to start. Take ten min and brainstorm what you can offer someone.

If you ever have the chance to hire a 343er, do it. I assure you that their talent, collaboration, passion, and grit will be unmatched.

@RedmondWaPD Thank you. For responding quickly. For your professionalism. For your empathy. For saving my life.
I decided to bring in the new year unconventionally. On 12/31, I had a seizure + stroke + heart attack. My family found me, called 911, and you arrived in minutes.
But I'm not going to let that stop me from thanking you. I am so deeply grateful for everybody who helped me that day. The 911 operator, paramedics, fire fighters, police officers, everybody who made sure I got the help I needed, when I needed it.
