i don't consider myself someone who talks about AI usage in fanfic often, i just happen to be a fic writer who's also seeing the active impact of faulty AI detectors in academic writing. if academics are not safe from being falsely accused, neither are you. stop this nonsense.

on one hand ai in fics should be called out. on the other hand a lot of people are much worse at identifying it than they think they are and false allegations are really damaging. not sure where we are supposed to go from here
