Gary Danielson doesn’t have social media, but he asked me to share these words in memory of our dear friend, David Moulton:
“Yesterday was a day I was praying would not happen so

No, he was not — very sad about losing David!
Well, said Jon I feel some of the same things. We lost a good man.
I’ve been struggling to find the words to describe what David Moulton meant to me. The truth is, I don’t think there are words that could ever do him justice.
For more than 20 years, David was one of the constants in my life. A friend. A mentor. A sounding board. A voice of reason. And, more than anything, family.
When my dad died, I went through some of the darkest years of my life. I was angry at the world, bitter, and not always the easiest person to be around. David saw me at my absolute worst. And he never walked away.
He believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. He told me things I didn’t want to hear but desperately needed to. He stood by me when he had every reason not to.
I don’t know where I would be today without him.
And then there’s this ridiculous business we both loved and hated for so many years.
We spent countless hours complaining about it, laughing at it, and wondering why the hell we ever got into it.
And I’ll say something I’ve believed for a long time: David Moulton deserved so much more from this industry than it ever gave him.
He was an absolute star. One of the most talented broadcasters I’ve ever known. His preparation, intelligence, wit, and ability to make everyone around him better were extraordinary.
But when I think about David, I don’t think about the shows, the jobs, or the accomplishments.
I think about the endless conversations. The movie quotes. Our shared love of Letterman, Carson, Rickles, and the Giants.
There are hundreds of stories. Some I can tell publicly. Plenty I probably shouldn’t.
But those are the moments I’ll treasure forever.
What hurts the most is knowing there will be something ridiculous that happens tomorrow, next week, or years from now, and my first instinct will still be to pick up the phone and call David.
Because for more than two decades, that’s what I did.
I keep thinking about what David Letterman once told Johnny Carson:
“I wouldn’t have socks without you.”
That’s exactly how I feel about David Moulton.
So much of who I am today has his fingerprints all over it.
David didn’t just help me through the worst moments of my life. He made so many of the best moments even better.
And that’s something I will carry with me forever.
I hope he knew how deeply he was loved, how many lives he touched, and how much better this world was because he was in it.
I know mine certainly was.
Thank you, David.
For the laughter. The friendship. The advice. The memories. The tough conversations. And for never, ever giving up on me.
You weren’t just my friend. You were my brother.
I love you, David.
And I always will.
Take care, my friend. ❤️

I’m genuinely curious as to why Fox didn’t show this angle of Yandy’s check swing
They showed every angle except the one that would’ve been conclusive lmao
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The attached video shows Junior Caminero from Game 1, not Yandy Diaz's check swing in Game 2. Fox broadcast of the Diaz play: x.com/MLBONFOX/statu…

My Col in The Legend: : He left in 1995 with 31 touchdown catches, still the school record and second in SEC history. Think about the receivers who have come through Gainesville since then.
