I mean, if you want to put words in my mouth then I guess that's your choice

I actually haven't said to fire him a single time. I don't think. Main reason I'm reacting is because people are reacting so strongly to just saying he's on the hot seat, needs to turn this season around, and the cost of termination isn't prohibitive.

Actual data? Because often times AI is wrong and does things like using things people say in a Reddit thread as the basis for their response
What's crazy to me is how offended some people are over the suggestion that Deion Sanders is on the hot seat.
18-25 record at CU
1-12 in last 13 conference games
6-16 in last 22 games
Every coach would be on the hot seat for that. It would be weird if fans weren't pissed.

I'd love to see these estimates. Especially since I don't think the momentum is positive since 2024. Freshman class was smaller this year & ticket sales have declined.

Yeah. I think the number 1 thing coaches look at these days when evaluating jobs is NIL vs peers they're expected to beat (conference mates).
I quoted contract in my OP and then asked questions in responses to replies on things I don't know. I'm not the one making declarative statements without knowing. Your reply doesn't make sense. Maybe you should spend more effort on reading comprehension instead of dishing insults

Is Colorado media worse than average and a negative for prospective coaches? I haven't heard that. Is there some survey of coaches you've seen? Would be interesting if that's out there.

For sure. Honor the contract. Hopefully he starts winning and this all becomes moot.

Post referenced numbers of how much more profitable the CU AD has gotten directly due to HCDS.

Football does promote the university and success does drive applications. It also drives donations to the university at large. Probably shouldn't matter, but it's the real world in which we live. 🤷

I guess the question is whether the main job of a football coach is to win games or to be great at promotion. 🤷
Strange reaction to someone posting the truth about a $6M HC salary being towards the top of the Big 12. What's your deal? 🤣

There will be a next guy. It's a matter of when, not if. The only question is timing. I certainly won't be upset if this season turns around, roster is better constructed in the future by getting a proven college QB who fits the system as priority 1, and Prime is here a long time

The 2nd highest paid HC in the B12 is a little over $9M (BYU). Most are in the $4M ballpark.

It's really a shame that things changed in a way he refused to fully adapt to. He's a great coach who is now coaching in the wrong era.
Replying to @GallopM
What's that have to do with what I posted? In the scope of CU finances & the resources of certain boosters, coming up with a few million per year for a few years shouldn't limit the decision. That was my point - since people were posting that it would cost like $27M

I'd be shocked if Eck wasn't on the list. I'd assume the list would be guys with Lovo ties: Eck, Urban's coaching tree.
