#100DaysOfCode @theSchoolOfCode Day 40-41 - Intro to React. Had anticipated getting started with this new FE library and so far it has been fun. Daunting to have to learn new syntax and structures but it feels more intuitive to me, particularly components. linkedin.com/in/alexander-ca…

#100DaysOfCode Going to prioritise updating LinkedIn, I want to increase my presence there as I begin my search for my first paid tech role. Prioritising study focus was discussed with @eyres1313 @SeanLunt86684 today as we created our 1st React App. Glad we used @freeCodeCamp 1st

#100DaysOfCode @theSchoolOfCode Day 31 - Used @figma to create wireframes of our SoC course materials app. Started with low fidelity mock ups, then split into two sub teams. My teammates created high fidelity UI designs using @coolors_co for colour themes

#100DaysOfCode @theSchoolOfCode Day 31 - My subteam focused on the prototype feature in @figma to map out the user flow. Enjoying the role UX plays in planning how we will right our code. It was necessary to consider the scope to realise an achievable MVP in terms of app features

#100DaysOfCode @theSchoolOfCodeDay (catch up thread) Day 25 (16th Oct) - This week the focus was on UX/UI. I was introduced to a new resource for designing called FigJam @figma. Struggled with the button layout at 1st, but after some practice, realised it's a great tool for plans

essentials. Reviewed CSS grids and Flex, which helped emulate the structure of the page. However, didn't get to explore using media queries to make the page responsive. Must revise. Maria and I had some frank talks about our views on the brief. Glad we could be open and refocus!

#100DaysOfCode @theSchoolOfCodeDay Day 24 (13th Oct) - Friday the 13th, no wonder we had to deal with a few horrors during our hackathon. Focus was on using integration and e2e testing to solve issues in the files of a pre built app. Overcame issues such as tests passing => cont

no matter what we entered into the assertions, which was due to a very slight syntax error. Had to refer to package documentation frequently as some of functions needed to be imported/exported using ESM syntax rather than CJS. Big thanks to Tom and Emma for their help this week!

#100DaysOfCode @theSchoolOfCodeDay Day 23 - Today we covered API testing using Supertest, with Vitest. Very tough day, struggled with syntax structure initially, tested endpoints using several CRUD functionalities. Had an open conversation about mental health with my teammates 🙌
