Three weeks ago a woman was found dead in a park in the heart of Cardiff. She had been sleeping rough in a tent and in the few local press reports at the time, she was left nameless.

I know, and it’s heartbreaking to see. Maff and I worked for the homelessness team nationally before 2010 and things were slowly getting better. Austerity and universal credit have scuppered all the hard work everyone did. I’m so sorry.

6 wks ago we noted EoL patients had multiple bed moves to make beds for new patients. We acted immediately and within 24 hrs had implentmented our “Blue Ribbon” scheme. Blue Ribbon patients must NOT be moved. Since then not a single EoL patient has had a non-clinical bed move.
