the irony of LOS ANGELES being one of the best places to be a transit nerd in the 21st century 😍🤓
This is the SECOND major transit project to break ground in Los Angeles this week. First: the East San Fernando Valley light-rail line. Now: the 12.4-mile Vermont Avenue BRT • 12.4 miles of BRT • Dedicated bus lanes • Connections to the B, D, E and C Lines • Trips up to 24% faster • Upgraded service for 38,000 daily riders @metrolosangeles hopes to finish the Vermont Corridor before the 2028 Olympics. No American city is doing more for transit that Los Angeles

🇺🇸 Los Angeles, United States, has its own consular corridor along Wilshire Boulevard. Many countries share office towers between Westwood and Koreatown. The map shows 75 countries and entities, with more distant offices outside the frame.

Another water main break. Shame we broke our finances on the convention center vanity project that will cost us over $100M a year (for next 28 years). We could have used some of that money to address our 100+ year old water mains.
Wild video shows a sinkhole that swallowed a van near the Hollywood neighborhood of Los Feliz on Wednesday. Tap the link in our bio for more details.

I think Pershing Square being renamed to honor Buddy Mason is cool BUT… with the tragic state of the current design, I would personally haunt whoever names that mess after me 🙄 get rid of the underground parking and redo the park to make it beautiful again!

Here you go! Follow the money, LA! (This doesn't include liability payouts)
Replying to @lacontroller
Kenneth, would you repost the graph you shared a few weeks ago about the LA City budget and where the city's money goes and how much goes where?

HALF-A-BILLION 🤯 Remember: Police liability payouts come out of the General Fund, NOT the police department's operating budget. This is why other city services like street services, animal services, transportation, youth development, & audits got cut. latimes.com/california/story…
