Imagine buying a mic for ₦40,000, being so happy about it, only for it to fall off my phone yesterday and break into pieces.
Just like that. ₦40k gone.
Yesterday, I nearly lost my mind trying to record a video without a script.
I’ve never recorded a video without one, so the whole experience was horrible.
Woke up today to find out the video actually performed well.
Maybe I should get uncomfortable more often.
I have a wedding to attend today, but I’m already calculating how to squeeze in four hours of work before leaving.
Some of us don’t even know how to take Saturdays off anymore.

Today’s focus: UI Error Swallowing & Transaction Discrepancies.
Here is how a simple front-end .catch(() => null) tricks users into approving transactions costing vastly more than the displayed price. 🧵👇
1) When registering a name, a dApp UI calculates the base rent plus estimated execution costs. If that pricing API fails, the app should halt.
2) In this ENS Manager vulnerability, the UI swallowed the quote failure silently. It dropped the total down to the base rent ($8.00) and removed the "up to" warning, presenting $8.00 as the exact final cost.
3) However, the background registration machine was unaffected. It accurately calculated the full $20.20 cost and sized the wallet permit for the larger amount.
4) The user clicks "Approve" expecting an exact $8.00 charge, but the contract executes a transferFrom for 20.20 USDC.
5) The takeaway: Never silently swallow pricing failures. If a dApp cannot calculate the true total, it must hard-stop the checkout instead of blinding the user.

My social media manager friend who stays in Singapore just closed a client for 2027 , she shared her invoice with me .. guess how much she charged this client $18,000 for 6 months.. that’s $3000 per month
she’s only managing his LinkedIn and Substack .. I asked how she’s doing it o so we hopped on a call and she shared her screen
From her onboarding process she didn’t present herself as a social media manager, she introduces herself as an executive brand strategist .. the client fills the first form , during the discovery call she presents her proposal and her scope of work using a very beautiful and well structured slide , she divides everything into phases(this is what happens in phase 1, phase 2 etc )she also gives her clients a bonus of building their email list .. her offer is 1000x structured and better than mine
One thing I learnt from her this morning is that for you to close premium clients , you have to look premium yourself
The same work she’s doing is what a social media manager who’s been paid 100k does .. hers is even easier cos she only works 3times per week, she just packaged her own better

Motivation is pretty damn reliable. It shows up with the state you put yourself in.
You can’t drain yourself in comfort and expect motivation to show up on its own.
This week has been one of those weeks where you planned for everything to go right, but somehow, everything ends up going went left. 🤦
