🎉 Meet the 2026 Women in the Studio Accelerator cohort! musicpublishing.ca/news/wome…
@canmuspub is proud to support 6 incredible producer-songwriters from across Canada with curated workshops, mentorship & industry access. 📷 Individual participant spotlights start tomorrow!
An important call to action study has been released that focuses on the needs of caregivers in the Canadian music industry. Music Publishers Canada and @WomenInMusicCA are releasing “Sound of Support: Exploring the Music Community’s Caregiver Needs”.
The study sheds light on barriers faced by caregivers, discusses supports and resources, and offers strategies for those in the music industry concurrently managing both professional and personal caregiving responsibilities. Read the report here: loom.ly/oO5TfMM
MPC is proud to once again support the Songwriters’ Circle at the @TheJUNOAwards this year. Hosted by Elamin Abdelmahmoud, it features a fantastic line up of songwriters sharing the stories behind the songs, live and up close. We hope to see you there!
Congratulations to our CEO, Margaret McGuffin, for being named one of the Top 100 Lobbyists of 2026 by @TheHillTimes. This could not be a more well-deserved recognition. Margaret advocates tirelessly on behalf of publishers, copyright protections, and the entire music industry.

We need real innovation - not exploitation. When AI is trained on stolen creative works, everyone loses. Instead of culture, art, writing, and music, all we'll be left with is static and silence. #StealingIsntInnovation

Earlier this week we were honoured by @unisonfund for 76 years of making the views of music publishers working in Canada heard. We were thrilled to receive this recognition by this important organization. Congrats on 10 years of Shmoozefest & the decades of critical work you do!
