the more well-known an athlete becomes, the higher the expectations and unfortunately, the harsher the criticism. people start expecting perfection every match, as if one off day erases years of consistency, hard work, and achievements. +
seeing mayu get a full match today makes me genuinely happy. she deserves the opportunity to find her rhythm, build confidence, and show what she can do on court. hoping this gives her even more opportunities in the games ahead 🧡

i understand the point about mayu facing taller blocks in the turkish league but i don't think that automatically means the league isn't a good fit for her. her game has never been just about overpowering the block. her reception, defense, court coverage, and ability to read and+

🗣️ Özlem Özçelik: "Orro, hem Jack'i hem Eda'yı harika kullanıyor. Bu da köşeleri rahatlattı."

i just woke up and started reading the comments on mayu’s post yesterday and i’m laughing so hard so many people got scared HAHAHAHAHA we are not ready when the real announcement comes 💀
there's still so much i want to learn about mayu beyond the player we see on the court today, so i went down a little rabbit hole and found this.
her journey is so inspiring. knowing how far she's come makes me admire her even more.
