It’s great that I managed to do that, but there’s still a long way to go. It had also been many years since I last won a Superprestige race. I’d come close plenty of times, but actually winning is something else entirely. This feels really good. I was able to gain a lot of ground thanks to my technical skills. It was a tough race, but then again, it was tough for everyone. I had to keep the pressure on throughout the entire race, as the others were closing in toward the end and the gap wasn't that big. That made for a challenging cyclo-cross race. The European Championships race is just 34 hours away, but I’ve got this one in the bag.
