The NFT price and the gas fee are two different costs.
Gas pays for the Ethereum transaction, and the amount changes with network demand. Read the wallet estimate before confirming.

Splitting BTC volatility into junior and senior claims changes who finances leverage and what they need to be paid.
That is the useful idea behind 2Factor Finance. It does not make the asset less volatile. It gives two holders different places in line for the same asset's price moves.
The junior takes losses first and gets magnified exposure. The senior takes losses only after the junior buffer is exhausted. Senior means priority, not immunity.
Why would someone supply senior capital? They may prefer a claim with a loss buffer and a financing payment to holding BTC's full price exposure. The junior holder wants more exposure and can pay for the capital that makes it possible.
That replaces an external hedging counterparty with someone who wants the senior claim. The financing bill is negotiated through demand for those two positions, rather than anchored to the cost of maintaining a hedge.
Here is the arithmetic at the perpetual system's target senior to junior collateral ratio of 1:3.
Imagine $100,000 of senior capital alongside $300,000 of junior capital. If a hypothetical financing payment to senior holders is $6,000 over a given period, that is 6% of their capital.
The same $6,000 costs the junior side 2% of its capital. There is one payment, not two different pots of money. In this example, junior cost equals senior yield divided by 3.
That does not mean a permanent 6% payment exists. Funding responds to the balance of capital. When demand for the senior side dominates, the payment can run the other way.
The distinction matters: tranching reallocates risk, while funding prices the demand to hold each part. Cheaper financing is a design goal, not free leverage.
This is a description of a protocol design and a testnet, not investment advice. Nothing here is a promise of yield or safety.
