The Trump administration’s cuts to weather satellites will set the country back nearly a decade, experts say. The loss of data used to observe, forecast and research extreme weather could prevent the US from making major advances in weather prediction in the coming years. cnn.it/4k6eD4o

#BREAKINGNEWS: five people are dead from carbon monoxide poisoning in Richmond—a city in Cache County, Utah. I’m on scene and working to learn more. Below is the release from the Cahce County Sheriff’s Office. @KUTV2News
Senator Curtis with a strong statement on public executions.
Seneca warned that Rome’s bloody spectacles corrupted the people who watched them. A civilization erodes when it cultivates an appetite for executions as a form of entertainment.
Secretary Hegseth’s plan to livestream the Fort Hood execution risks feeding that appetite. The victims deserve justice administered with solemnity. Broadcasting a death diminishes us and is not an effective deterrent. I urge him to reconsider.
No way around it. The @dallascowboys played bad. There were a lot of issues you can evaluate. With so many hot take and bad takes. This post from @calvinwatkins is rational and legit. Truth to it they were not in sync all night.

❄️ UTAH SNOW UPDATE: Could the mountains see a significant snowfall next week?
We’re still several days out, but the latest computer models are showing the potential for a much colder storm system to move into Utah around October 11-13.
The latest ensemble guidance is hinting at the potential for several inches of precipitation in the mountains, with some snow projections getting quite impressive. Keep in mind, these are early projections, and there is still a LOT of uncertainty with the exact track of the storm, snow levels and totals.
🌨️ Snow levels could drop into the 8,000-9,000 foot range, potentially bringing the first more widespread mountain snowfall of the season to some of our higher elevations.
It’s too early to get locked into specific snow totals, but this is definitely a pattern worth watching!
I’ll keep you updated as we get closer. 👀
Stay indoors people!

🚗 Never drive through a flooded road — turn around, don’t drown.
Radar is showing some strong storms already producing heavy rain, and additional rainfall is expected.
Please take this seriously and share this with anyone in the Zion/Springdale/Hildale area. Stay safe tonight.
