i have noticed that when most people say they "hate musicals", they seem to think animated musicals like the lion king, beauty and the beast, cinderella, etc., are exempt from this. they don't actually hate musicals, they hate specific types of musicals, usually live action.

i also find it interesting that disney animated features that are musicals usually aren't really considered such in immediate recognition by people who think that tho. it's just considered standard.
