Days before Israel’s election, Netanyahu is again invoking an “existential threat” from Iran - and pressing Trump to attack.
But listen to his own words.
On June 24, 2025, after the 12-day war, he declared: “We removed two existential threats: The threat of annihilation by nuclear weapons, and the threat of annihilation by 20,000 ballistic missiles.”
On March 31, 2026, he said of Iran: “They can no longer threaten our existence.”
Then, the threat was eliminated. NOW, with an election looming, it is grounds for another war.
Netanyahu is insulting Americans’ intelligence—and asking them to continue to bear the consequences, and to die for Israel.
An existential threat cannot disappear via a victory speech, and then reappear during an election campaign, simply because Netanyahu wants to remain in power.

The only elections we care about are the ones happening on November 3rd.
And no, Israel cannot claim the status of a democracy while fallaciously calling itself a “Jewish” state.
Israel is holding national elections in less than a week, and it’s the perfect opportunity to explain the Israeli democratic system.
Israel is the only Jewish country in the world, and it’s also a liberal democracy. Can a country be Jewish and democratic? The answer is yes, and Israel’s founders answered that question on day one.
On May 14, 1948, David Ben-Gurion read Israel’s Declaration of Independence, which established a Jewish state and, in the same breath, promised complete equal rights to all its citizens, regardless of religion, race, or sex. Jewish and democratic were never two separate ideas. They were written into the same document, one highly influenced by the American Declaration of Independence.
A Jewish state doesn’t mean that everyone in Israel is Jewish. It doesn’t even mean that Jewish Israelis are religious. Nearly half of Israeli Jews describe themselves as secular, and yes, you can be an atheist Jew. About 18% of Israelis are Muslim, Israel is the only country in the Middle East where the Christian population is actually growing, and everyone has equal rights.
Jewish culture, history, and tradition shape the country’s calendar and its character. Democracy decides who governs it and how. Israel’s laws are written by an elected parliament, not handed down by religious leaders. That is the difference between a democracy and a theocracy.
Israel is a parliamentary democracy with three branches. The Knesset, Israel’s parliament, makes the laws. The prime minister and the cabinet run the country. The Supreme Court interprets the laws.
Next week, Israelis of all backgrounds will vote, because a lot is at stake: the direction of the country, its security, its international relations, and its future. Jews, Muslims, and Christians, religious and secular, right and left, will do what they’ve done for 78 years. Vote democratically.
We’ll be in Israel broadcasting live on election day, and we’ll keep you posted on everything. Stay tuned.

One of the highlights of my time in Jordan was visiting UNWRA archives and examining the index cards and other records of the 750,000 Palestinians kicked off their land at the Nakba in 1948. They used to be kept in Gaza and were airlifted out at the beginning of the genocide- Israel has destroyed all the archives that remained. They form the best evidence for some form of reparations in the future and are now being scanned and digitalised

للمزيد: ardd-jo.org/news/%d8%ba%d8%b…
The Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD), through its Renaissance Strategic Center (RSC), organised, under the theme “Gaza and the Turning of History: The Middle East Before and After,” a visit to the UNRWA Photo and Film Archives with renowned British historian and author William Dalrymple, alongside a high-level working lunch bringing together diplomats, academics, policymakers, and regional experts to reflect on Gaza and Palestine within the broader historical and political transformations shaping the Middle East.
During the visit to the UNRWA Archives, facilitated in cooperation with UNRWA, Dalrymple explored historical records documenting Palestinian displacement, refugee experiences, and collective memory since 1948. Recognized by UNESCO’s Memory of the World Programme, the archives underscore the importance of preserving Palestinian history, identity, and the experiences of generations of refugees.

Pastor John Hagee's "Night to Honor Israel" kicked off by having the venue transition from singing the US national anthem to the Israeli national anthem.
Controversial Zionist federal Judge Roy Altman can be seen at Hagee's side proudly singing both anthems.

Federal Judge Roy Altman says he's taken "ten percent of all the active federal judges in America" on trips to Israel "just in the last three years."
Now, he's apparently making state supreme court justices humiliate themselves by competing with one another to go on said trips.
"Whoever's going to go is going to have to play Rock, Paper, Scissors to see who wins," he says he told the justices. "I looked down two minutes later, and these supreme court justices were going like this [and playing Rock, Paper, Scissors]."
Absolutely insane this is being tolerated.

Israel’s problem is bigger than Netanyahu, and its election won’t solve it: Haaretz editor-in-chief
——
In an article published by Foreign Affairs on 23 October, titled “What Israel’s Election Won’t Change,” Aluf Benn, editor-in-chief of Haaretz, argues that Israel’s 27 October election may determine the future of its domestic institutions, but will do little to alter its policies toward Palestinians or its military aggression across the region.
Benn challenges the widespread belief that removing Benjamin Netanyahu would fundamentally change Israel's trajectory, arguing that the country's aggressive military policies and rejection of Palestinian statehood have become a broad political consensus extending well beyond the current government.
Netanyahu's main challenger, former military chief Gadi Eisenkot, supports an independent judiciary, free press, and professional civil service. Yet on foreign policy, Benn finds little meaningful difference between the two. Almost all Jewish Israeli political parties oppose Palestinian statehood, defend the war on Gaza, and support Israel's attacks on Iran and its occupation of territory in Lebanon and Syria.
Their disagreements concern tactics rather than fundamental objectives. Eisenkot has criticized Netanyahu's handling of the war on Gaza, but has also argued that Israel should have pursued a more aggressive invasion, pledging to 'end Hamas rule' within 18 months. Although he opposes Netanyahu's ambition to overthrow Iran's government, he supported strikes against Iran's military and nuclear infrastructure.
Benn traces this consensus to the aftermath of 7 October 2023, which accelerated Israeli society's rejection of Palestinian independence and normalized policies of destruction and occupation. He writes that both political camps share the belief that “Israel is surrounded by merciless enemies and the Palestinians cannot be trusted,” identifying racism as one factor shaping this outlook.
Even among so-called 'liberal Israelis' mobilizing against Netanyahu, support for Palestinian statehood remains marginal. Eisenkot himself opposes it, while potential right-wing coalition partners would likely bring down his government if he pursued such a policy.
One difference concerns settler violence in the occupied West Bank. While Netanyahu has largely ignored attacks intended to drive Palestinians from their land, Eisenkot has condemned them as “Jewish terror,” opposing the E1 settlement project. Benn suggests these positions reflect concerns over growing instability and international isolation rather than a fundamental shift toward Palestinian rights.
The article also warns that Israel's policies are generating mounting diplomatic and economic consequences. International outrage over Gaza and settlement expansion has already produced sanctions, while opposition to unconditional military assistance is growing in Washington, including among Democrats and some Republicans.
An Eisenkot government might temporarily improve Israel's international standing through more conciliatory diplomacy and limited policy adjustments. But Benn argues that foreign governments expecting a fundamental reversal would ultimately be disappointed.
Regardless of whether Netanyahu retains power, Eisenkot forms a government, or the election produces another political deadlock, Benn concludes that Israel's next leadership will continue occupying neighboring territory and repressing Palestinians, potentially deepening its isolation, increasing its dependence on domestic arms production, and jeopardizing longstanding American diplomatic protection.
The article's central warning is that Netanyahu's removal would not resolve the underlying problem: Israel's rejection of Palestinian sovereignty and reliance on military domination are no longer merely the policies of one leader, but positions shared across much of its political establishment.
As Benn writes, Israel's next prime minister, regardless of the election's outcome, “will keep occupying parts of its neighbors and brutalizing the Palestinians.”

Actually, no.
Zionism is about 130 years old.
No Jewish text or teaching before that time was about taking over the Land of Israel by force and taking it from other people.
That is not a Jewish value. Our religion never proposed or suggested that.
Zionism, a modern, political ideology, arose as a rebellion against religion.
