To many, he was a bastard. To my kids, he was Ben - who brought them Kinder Eggs from the UK, who converted them to Newcastle fans. To me, he was an incredible friend for 20 years. Watching a Black Arrow from inside the ring still takes my breath away. The best of us. 🖤
All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac. A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability. Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans.

Pac was so preternaturally talented that he’d have had everyone on board if he’d wanted to make everything about him, but his career highlights are all making other guys look fantastic. You can hear JR *getting* OC’s gimmick in real time because Pac was such a perfect foil.

I’m a bit of a mess right now. Ben has always been one of my favorite people in wrestling because he was always one of Jon’s. I remember being pregnant with Brodie and getting emails from Jon while he was in Japan on tour. His emails always mentioned PAC & @KingRicochet . He would tell me how he loved passing the time by entertaining Trevor, by taking the counter point to anything Ben had to say. He said he would get him going on bus rides until Ben would get so mad he would refuse to speak for a few hours. I remember the first time I met Ben I apologized for Jon doing that because he used to do it to me. We joked how maddening it was. Ben & Jon’s careers always had one another in their orbit. They brought out the best in each other. He always thought the world of Ben, even though he was convinced he wasn’t completely human “because nobody should be able to do the kinda stuff he does with ease” When Jon passed, Ben checked on me frequently and would always exchange funny memories with me. Every single time we were at shows together he would always stop for a hug and a check in. We would talk our dogs, his incredible wife Natalie, and my boys. We would laugh over how Brodie is not only the spitting image of Jon but a shit starter just like his dad. My heart hurts so much right now and I don’t know what else to say. Hug your loved ones. Take care of those around you. Take care of yourselves.

Truly devastated. I had the chance to tell you what a direct impact you had on me and many others. The loveliest human being. Thank you, so so much, for everything.

I'm afraid I will be ordering a Big Citrus #97 jersey at an inadvisably early point of his career, learning nothing from my McCarthy #9 jersey
Really enjoyed Domonique Orange about stopping the QB sneak. Here's what he had to say: “It was disrespectful. So mindset was, ya’ll are going to go take that? Alright, cool. Turnover on downs.” “Absolutely I knew it was going to be [a sneak],” Orange said. “Fourth-and-1 and you have a rookie in front of you? If I was a quarterback, I’d try that too. But they don’t know about Big Citrus yet.”

Apologies for doing this again, but if I don't find more regular work soon, I'm going to have to take desperate measures - starting a podcast. You wouldn't like that, and neither would I xitter.cf/malaiseforever/status/…
So, it turns out I'm at a loose end for work for the time being. If anyone has any (paid) writing or editing gigs they think I might be a decent fit for, do me a favour and let me know. Cheers

When Andy Williams turned up to Catch it was such a great moment which he didn't have to do. Awful news today to hear what happened. Here's a clip of him at Catch with Mad Kurt. 2 legends gone too soon.
Absolutely devastated to hear of the passing of Andy 'The Butcher' Williams. Dropped him a drunk tweet inviting him down to our first show, we chatted about WrestleKingdom briefly and he said "Do you know what, i'm going to bring my gear"

What a awesome & creative man this was. His body of work as a musician & pro wrestler is so cool! Purely such a talented person. But as you are all reading so many people who knew Andy they are telling you what a great person he was & such a gentle soul. That’s all very true. A great guy that worked hard, no shortcuts who wasn’t a fake or a bullshit artist…he was genuine, which is a very rare character trait in all forms of the entertainment business. He was just a REAL DUDE. I use to call him “Big Butch” every-time I saw him & he would giggle & smile! RIP big man. 🙏

During the Jacksonville days, Andy (along with Eddie) really advocated for me. He encouraged me to keep trying when my dreams still felt so far away. He raised my confidence. He made AEW feel like family even when I wasn’t officially a part of the team. And from what I’ve heard, he kept dropping my name in TK’s ear whenever given the chance That’s not to make this about me, but to share a little insight on who Andy was. While I’ve known him for years, he really had no stake in helping me or seeing me succeed other than wanting to see a good person have good things happen This man basically created a new sound with ETID and then pivoted to wrestling and crushed that too. He had every right to have an ego, but he didn’t. He reached his hand out and did what he could to help others💖
