As the conference is scheduled for September, we've decided - for the time being - to continue the preparations for a place-based conference in Rijeka/Opatija.

We are thrilled to introduce Danijela Dolenec as a keynote speaker at the upcoming #CHERconf202
Danijela is Associate Professor of Comparative Politics at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb.

She has contributed to diverse academic fields, from democratization and the political economy of post-socialism, to European party systems, contemporary social movements, the politics of climate change and political ecology, and higher education policy in Europe.
Currently, Danijela is leading the project "Disobedient Democracy: A Comparative Analysis of Contentious Politics in the European Semiperiphery" – funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, which explores how protests and social movements advance democracy.
