That's the name on the DOJ's court filing in the search warrant case. "Ilhan Abdullahi Omar," the name Minnesota voters know, is listed as the a/k/a.
Think about that. The woman who lectures America every day is listed by the feds under a different name.
It gets better. Elmi also happens to be the family name of the man she married in 2009, the one critics have long said is her brother. She denies it.
The investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been filed. The DOJ is asking for more time before anything gets unsealed.

I have been clear for some time on where I stand on prosecuting corruption and illegal acts.
In a speech a few weeks ago, I said we need to hold accountable the people and institutions who stole billions of our taxpayer dollars and weaponized the government against its people. And we need a list of signature cases that go after some of the most obvious and harmful abuses of taxpayer dollars.
If Kristi Noem steered $200 million in taxpayer dollars to a friend's company to make her TV ads, as GOP sources suggest, she should be held accountable.
If Doug Burgum gave a $13 million no-bid contract for the reflecting pool, he should be held accountable.
And if Jeanine Pirro used the Department of Justice to go after the president's enemies without any legal basis, she should lose her law license, in line with the law.
