I hadn’t thought about this in such a long time. What a nostalgia hit!
hear me out, for the real classic feeling in Forever, we need to revive thottbot, same looks and everything 🥹
#wowforever
Really cool approach.
Shifting more to the server side makes a lot of sense, but brings with it a lot of complexities when building fast paced, multiplayer experiences.
I’m sure there’s some fascinating technical details to this.
I’ve been surprised by the level of discourse about this in my feed today, that was completely seemingly absent yesterday.
Hasn’t this been quite obviously just around the corner for some time now?
We need more proactive discussion about the clearer enablements coming and how we’d like them (or not) to enter our societies.
So many engineering orgs are in the same spot right now: everyone on the team is adopting AI in their own way, and pre-AI processes are under massive strain.
It’s a sad day for esports.
Thank you for the epic times, especially those early years as a young esports fan watching the rise of coL.cs. I’d love to watch it all over again.
What an incredible legacy.

Esports has seen such high growth, the majority of fans won’t have experienced the early-2000s esports that I loved (which was still a long time after the earliest days!)
Classic esports was so much fun.
Replying to @Xeer
It most certainly was called esports, and it had bigger prize pools than many sports already!
Example: liquipedia.net/counterstrike…
I’d love to see the player count for classic Blizzard games this week.
Judging my timeline, there must be an impressive post-Blizzcon spike in progress.
Such a joy to watch these two fight it out once more.
Some early esports @StarCraft nostalgia that I’m glued to tonight. #Blizzcon26
So much wonderful esports nostalgia tonight at #Blizzcon.
@BossTossMC, I’ve missed you man. What a beautiful opener 😄
Agent conflict resolution will be an increasingly important part of AI-agent system design.
Lots of this is trivial in comparison to human orgs. The trickiest part being at the system boundaries and where agents know they are representing humans directly.
IMO anything that isn’t the documentation of facts will still benefit from being written manually. At least the first draft.
Great to hear about this working in practice.
Carefully curated review agents + agent powered risk based system (with named specifics built in) seems the right way to automate reviews to the extent currently needed to avoid PR overload.
We ditched code review at @DuckbillHQ (mostly)
About a month ago, we found ourselves with 60 open PRs for a team of five. They had been accumulating for a few weeks and we all had the sudden realization we were looking at two days of just code review.
The most intelligent model may be here, but content distribution at scale is still keeping engineers in work, it seems 😬
I love this. Awesome project.
Did you know that humanity has never launched a spacecraft to another star? That is about to change! I'm super excited to share that my cofounders, @AdiOltean, @EzraFeilden, and I, have created a non-profit to attempt to send humanity’s 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿… and we need your help!
We have formed a non-profit called The @FermiExplorer Mission with the goal of launching a minimum viable spacecraft to Alpha Centauri, the nearest star system, leaving in 3 years and arriving in around 80,000 years. We hope it will be both the first spacecraft to leave Earth for another star, and the last to arrive, as per this concept video!
The mission is intended to make the idea of interstellar travel real, and to encourage more people to confront one of humanity’s biggest unanswered questions when we look beyond our planet: "Where is everybody?" (the Fermi Paradox)
The mission has four high-level objectives:
- Aim: To launch the first spacecraft to another star. It should get at least 99% of the way to the nearest star system, Alpha Centauri, within 80,000 years.
- Payload: It should have at least a 1kg, 10x10x10 cm payload.
- Schedule: It should launch before the end of 2029
- Cost: It should cost less than $15M to design, build, launch, and operate.
The mission was planned with the help of the folks at @astrodigitalgeo, @MattGialich and the folks at @AstroForge, and @alexwg+@matthew_pines physical AI lab PSI, who devised the final mission profile. The mission will be executed by full-time program manager @GarrettJameson, who joins us after 10 years as a US Air Force Officer, in collaboration with a US bus manufacturing partner that will be selected over the coming months.
We will need your help to complete the mission, so if the idea of the mission excites you, please check out the Fermi Explorer website in the comments to find out more about why we are doing the mission and how to get involved!
Thanks to London Studio @ZeroOneCreative and @ashkan01C for producing the concept video 🙏🙏
