still working hard on making the best looking farming game ever
harvesting is my favourite time of year
i have been making a solo builders top trumps game, each card has
- Followers
- MRR
- Ventures
- Year started
- Legend rating
all of the legends are in the game like @levelsio @dannypostma @marclou

i have finally released the farming game I've been sharing progress on over the last few months.
it's not finished yet but I want to get feedback so if you have any, good or bad, let me know
quite proud of what I've achieved so far. you can just build things

this is actually deserved
for years software engineers have been proudly disrupting other industries
like airbnb meant anyone could make their home into a hotel
uber meant anyone can become a taxi driver
but now that anyone can use claude code to make software we’re complaining
who needs GTA6 when you can play Pipe Dream remastered

i love how AI can accelerate my creativity.
spent a couple of hours today adding these seasonal animations to the avatar on my portfolio
my farming game has taken a bit of a sadistic turn
i don't know why but i've added a sub machine gun so you can kill all the animals
i am very scared of spiders 🕷️
so I asked astra to build me a typical UK house and put tarantula's in it to try to desensitise myself
I don't think it's working though, honestly the most scared I've been been playing a game
ai coding feels a bit like telling someone elses joke at a party
you get the endorphin rush cos everyone laughs but you feel a bit hollow inside
crazy to think we are at the point where you can make any game / world you ever dreamed of just by prompting
for someone who's loved video games all their life, what a time to be alive
Ever wonder what $1874.40 of Opus 5.5 tokens looks like?
Wonder no more.
I highly recommend watching the whole video on 1080p on a large screen with sound on.
Pay attention to all the little details.
- Birds flying and diving into the ocean.
- Cloth, signs and lights swaying in the wind.
- Crabs scuttling along the shore and burrowing when you get close.
- Fish swimming alongside the whale.
- Lights illuminating the dock at night
Then zoom out and see the entire island. Never dipping below 60 FPS at 1440p resolution.
Yes, there's a few bugs and visual artifacts, some textures need improving, the shorelines waves sometimes look funny, but these are so trivial to fix at this point.
FYI I'm on the $200 subscription plan. This used 59% of my weekly usage and took 2h 7h of API time using multiple subagents, about 8h in real-time.
There was extremely little technical direction here. 99% of my prompts were "Add X and Y" or "This looks weird, make it better".
It's a great time for hobbyists, bad time for professionals. This experiment has further cemented my view that technical creatives are about to experience a massive disruption.
i've gotten a bit distracted this week
added the ability to buy a bugatti veyron if your farm does really well. very hard to control but a quick way to get about
okay astra is actually amazing at creating 3d models in blender once you know how to get the best out it.
I've created my own air / train / car show where I can get flybys of famous vehicles
🔊 sound on
been working on the animals in my farming game.
if you have male + females in the same field they now get up to a bit of hanky panky
plus you can run them over which is fun but doesn't make me feel good about myself
when I'm not working on my farming game I'm citymaxxing, inspired by the original GTA.
got a pretty complex road network with AI traffic working nicely.
