oh you’re in a relationship? which one of you has haunting nighttime anxiety where you contemplate the world and death and your ultimate purpose and which one of you falls asleep in 10 seconds

...the toll of just trying to survive being sick takes so much energy and so many psychological resources that even if you do get to a place (like I am lucky to be in right now) where you're on treatment that works, you're doing better, your mental health might be ATROCIOUS

September 11th is how I learned that in emergency situations they’re trained to leave disabled people in the building. Around the same time my middle school had a fire drill and they did just that.

bizarre that if we got human feces on any bodypart besides our butt, we would never think that wiping it off with toilet paper would be sufficient.

Thank you! I was particularly thinking of @chronicallyadyk's testimony at the #HICPAC meeting as I wrote this part about #ethics of HCWs refusing to #mask and #ADA accommodations. cc @MassGenBrigham @ericashenoy @CDCDirector forbes.com/sites/judystone/2…

hey, getting sick with a viral infection doesn’t “strengthen” your immune system! it actually makes you more susceptible to other infections! hope this helps!

I think the one thing most non-disabled people fail to recognize about the medical system is that as soon as they get sick, and I mean big sick, they most likely won’t be able to get adequate care unless their condition is common and obviously treatable.

Got fired from an oral surgeon’s office today. Showed up for surgery-assistant was visibly very sick-coughing & sneezing, no windows were open, no HEPA in room, no N95s. He knows my medical history- promised safety. Today, he shamed me and fired me for expressing concern.🖕

The only lockdown that's happening is the locking out of higher risk people from society indefinitely because governments are refusing to enact basic public health policies to slow the spread of disease during an ongoing pandemic.

Today is Fred Hampton’s 75th birthday. Thinking of him saying “A lot of us read and read and read, but we don’t get any practice” made me get back involved in organizing this year.

Grateful for the wonderful feedback I’ve been getting for this piece, esp from doctors and patients who are being harmed. Angry that such a basic human right needs to be argued for. Stop killing patients, institute proper airborne infection control, now. thegauntlet.news/p/hospitals…

“Special needs” are not a characteristic of disability. “Special needs” are a manifestation of ableism.

My friend, James, is in a bad state due to tethered cord syndrome. He is having constant seizures at night and the onset of new neurological symptoms. Please support his GoFundMe. SHARE this post and give, if you can. Every dollar helps! gofundme.com/f/jamies-emerge…

I'm thankful that @stevesilberman added important perspective about #eugenics and #disabilities to @chronicallyadyk's moving testimony. My post about the #CDC and #HICPAC's ignoring this issue and aerosol transmission of #COVID19 forbes.com/sites/judystone/2…

Thx to @stevesilberman for adding his perspective, comment abt #eugenics and #disabilities, a topic raised by @chronicallyadyk in her public testimony I cited in forbes.com/sites/judystone/2… Eugenics needs more attn.Too much focus on "Urgency of normal" rather than caring for others

this can be literally life threatening for people with allergies, mast cell activation, or chemical sensitivities. unbelievable that covid was used to justify this
